Sergio's boots

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Sergio's boots

Postby Goataldo » Wed Nov 21, 2012 5:39 pm

Dunno if there's been a thread on this, but Aguero had been slipping over a lot recently, often in crucial situations. Anyone else been annoyed by this?

It's a typically damp autumn evening, and the turf will be at optimum slipperiness. So he better hadn't be wearing the actual slippers he seems to have favoured recently. Yes, he's been scoring, but imo would have had more, but for the ever burgeoning relationship he has with the ground.

I christened him Bambi in one of the match threads. Let's hope he's sorted it out.

It is frustrating. I still think it's the physios wanting him to have shorter studs to stop them getting caught in the turf and protect his knee.

Just out of interest, do they train in their match boots? I'm guessing they don't. (and maybe they should)

Say what You want, but if his boots slip again I'll have Carl on the manager arse.
simple as that.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Interesting take. Never thought of that. But then, surely if he'shitting the deck, that's gonna present a much more dangerous scenario, injury-wise?

Edit: hitting the deck, I meant hitting the deck.

I know I always liked my mouldy boots to studs but I knew if the weather was shit the studs would have to come out, other players though just refused to wear studs. I'm sure though he will have adapted moulds with some studs screwed in. These players at this level will have 100s of boots for every occasion without a doubt, custom made and fitted. No excuse for him slipping IMO.

You know you should really clean them as soon as you've worn them. Agreed though, he'll have his pick of boots. Maybe it's Chappy's fault!?

Hey I had OCD about my kit and boots. They always had to be prestine. That's my Dads influence that. Could never get my head around players playing in dirty boots.

I have to take mine in to the shower to get em properly clean! Not a pleasant image I'm sure. Right, my carriage to the CoMS awaits, not even time to check if I've got everyone's tickets - gotta run!
