Is itt just me overreacting to the media or is that lad a bit slow like his bird. He came as aj's replacement he knew that now he's wingeing. I just don't get it. Pull your socks up and force yourself into the first 11 simple.

I wasn't aware he had moaned to the media? Last I read he said he understood the situation was going to fight for his place, that was a few weeks ago.

In a few papers today Platt is saying if he wants to talk the door is open.

Have just watched the Platt interview. Am amazed that that is the spin you take from Platt's answer!!

At no point has he done any whingeing whatsoever. Platt even goes on to say that he has done no whingeing. The paper line is that "man city player does no whingeing whatsoever, therefore player wants to leave" Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Yeah but that has come from City, not from the player. He also went onto say that the player has not suggested at any point that he wants to leave.

Based on what I saw from this young fella, Im not convinced that he is the type of winger, or player, that we need.
Even when you get your shot, which is rare, you should convince the manager to trust you by making right decisions, passing the ball instead of shooting. We dont need another goal scorer, we need a decent winger who can pass, flank, do whatever it takes to put his teammates in a good position.

So far - Im disapointed.

It's how the Sun tried to spin it with their headline in their football pullout. Reading the quotes from Platt himself though, it's obvious he was responding to leading questions but still actually saying he's a valuable squad player brought in for deliberate reasons.

We needed pace and width this summer, and still do now. Sinclair was what we got. Lets give him a bloody chance.

Listening to Platt it seems obvious that all parties knew what the situation was going to be with Sinclair's purchase. This was a bit of a relief to hear, given I wasn't sure if Mancini wanted him to begin with.

If Mancini hadn't wanted Sinclair then I don't think he'd have joined the Club but he certainly won't have been high on his list. Chelsea brought Hazard in.

Sinclair could do with a run of games in the team so we can see exactly what he offers us; but unless there's an injury crisis then I don't see that happening soon.
