Anyone remember those pics of Miejski Klub Sportowy Znicz Pruszków's away end? N? - Well here they are again:

but it's ok - they've listened to the complaints of awayfans and upgraded it:

I think Altrincham's away end could give them a run for their money (without the cage though).

Not nearly as bad as previous as examples, but the team finishing third in the Swedish league this season (the season has just finished) and that actually was a title candidate until the last two game rounds, play on this "arena". I used to live a stone throw away from it.

There are no stands on the short sides ...

It has its charm, but for that level it's a bloody joke.

They came second even....
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

That away stand is still too big to accommodate the Blackburn away following....

No but I was at the Blackpool away game during the 1998/99 season. One of the most dogshit games of football I've ever seen. Kick-off was at lunchtime was a Saturday and it was freezing. The sun was in the sky but there was a shadow across half the pitch, so half of it was a bog and the other half rock hard. I don't think there were three passes strung together all game (which finished 0-0) and to compound the misery there was ice cold water dropping down my back all game from the roof of the stand.

One more thing: I remember that the title on the front cover of King of the Kippax that day read:
WE NEED WINGERS, NOT WHINGERS, JOE!
I didn't even buy a copy, I just remember the front cover vividly. Funny what you remember, innit?

Not long after that we signed Terry Cooke.

i think he means the original pics...

actually, I visited all three grounds in malmo a few weeks ago, and they were ALL better than häcken's ground!

It's mad that only malmo ladies play at idrottsplats (sp?) when IFK are playing at the stadion in front of 200 - it's a really nice atmospheric little ground.

Never been to football in Malmö, to be honest. The ladies team is quite popular, I think.
In the town I'm originally from, more people actually used to go to women's football than men's (which probably had to do with the fact the the ladies were the best team in Europe while the men played in the third tier).

This is it:

I gather the womens team get around 4-500 attendance, and IFK get 1-200 playing here:

also - I had a couple of pints of the rather nice "eriksberg" and thought of you :)

Ha ha, Eriksberg is alright, but far from my favourite Swedish beer. It's got a great name, though!

Talking about the Scandinavian stadiums I went to see Stavanger Viking a few weeks ago. (Previous managers including Uwe Rosler and Wobbly Woy Hodgson.)

Cracking little stadium in a nice complex but fucking hell was it boring! They have a good looking winger that will probably end up at a mid level club somewhere in Europe but apart from that both teams were crap!
