First Nike 'leak' and it's horrible.
http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/m ... hirt_17520This week an image has emerged of the new Manchester City and Nike training shirt for the 2013/14 season. As recently as 2009 Manchester City secured a nine year deal with kit manufacturer Umbro but that has changed and in 2012 the club had signed a six year deal with Nike which could see them earn £12 million a year.

'leaked' also a 'training top' ... not really bothered. I just want the white with diagonal stripe kit back. If Nike do that I'll love them forever.

From the comments:
i think you will find that this is actually the template for the home kit. The away will be red and black. The third will be shades of grey.
You read it first from me. How do I know? my brother works for Nike.
Gotta love an ITK!

That white Umbro one from our 'retro' phase was class - I'd have worn that out and about.

Badge mount is fairly horrible and rag-esque but don't actually mind that as a training top and could actually I think grow to like that if it were the actual shirt as a one off home kit

Looks fake to me - badge looks like it's off a 80's/90's Umbro kit

Seconded. Doubt I'll buy anything for a while, kit-wise.

Each to their own. But that is not a City top.

I think we'll get two extremes with Nike - nice off field gear but fuckign horrendous playing kits and training range.
We'll miss Umbro big time.

thank god its only a training kit. thats terrible.
all i know is that Nike makes some awesome uniforms for the University of Oregon's football team so i know they have the ability to make a good kit

This reminds me: I heard a theory a while back that Nike primarily make shirts for clubs which appeal 'internationally' and to 'new markets', where their brand name supersedes any cares about quality or design style. Hence, we're going to get lumbered with cheap tat because some rich kid in Malaysia only cares about the kit having a Nike swoosh, and at the end of the day there are more fans who will pay the over-inflated price abroad than will refuse to buy in the UK.
In recent years, I can only think of Villa who could be an exception to this. Anyone else from lower divisions?

It looks like a "Leisure shirt" rather than a "playing kit"
