I thought he lifted his shirt up to celebrate at our fans and a coin or something hit his eye just has he did it?

It looks like this. If you look in the background there are plenty of coins on the floor and you can see a new one arrive. The problem of coin throwing goes on at every game and is almost impossible to stop. Our problem is that someone was accurate

Its a fact only if you choose to ignore all those coins lying on the ground.

We have a history of this on derby day.

I recall the OP making a joke of it when it happened a few years ago when someone threw a coin at Ronaldo then demanding OT be closed down a few months later when they were throwing coins at City players

I don't think anybody is denying that coins were thrown, I am certainly not. Doesn't mean that one of them hit Ferdinand though. He clearly punched himself in the face whilst trying to pull his shirt up.

That is total bullshit and you know it.

It's not right that that should happen to a player.

But still, I wish it was a brick.

The shit that gets posted on football forums by "fans" that dont have a fuckin clue is unbelievable.

Any Manchester derby is a native street fight thing ..... the political correctness nob heads sat in there cosy offices / living rooms havent got a fuckin clue !!!!! If mario or carlos went up the stretford end and gave it large after scoring the winning goal when so much is at stake would he expect to be showered with roses or bouquets ?????? for fuck sake get a life and get in the real world or follow tennis !!!!!

Exactly. It's easy to criticise from the comfort of your armchair. Maybe we shouldn't have thrown coins at camelgob but he definitely shouldn't have celebrated in front of our fans. The twat was asking for trouble

I suspect he will think twice before doing it again in the future.

So the fact that guy was a cut on this face and there are a load of coins next to him in just a coincidence is it? I am open to the fact that is was not hit by a City fan as it would have to be some throw. If a coin did not hit him are you suggesting he has razor blades tucked under his shirt and cut himself wrestling style?

Yes we have a history of this. In recent times I recall Beckham being pelted with coins at Maine Road. Ronaldo being hit with a lighter and Rooney also being hit by a coin. He had to dodge a few today as well.

he definitely gets hit by something just as he's pulling up his shirt - thats clear in the video you posted

not that I am excusing it, but doing that in front of the opposition fans on a day like today and you are asking for that sort of thing to happen - out of order, arrogant and obnoxious - just like him

I agree with you on the later point, but we all fucking loved it when Ade ran the full lenght of the pitch to mock the Arsenal fans and any City player who did it at OT would be an instant legend.

No exuse for throwing coins at people. Ferdinand is a cunt. But it could hit an innocent steward or City fan.

When you look at it thoroughly, there is nothing of cause that should have affected Ferdinand. The 2 pence coin hits the floor well before Ferdiand feels the hit.

I thought we would be shamed, looking at it again, I feel that Ferdinand should be.

I am a bit concerned that you remember a post I made nearly three years ago, are you a stalker or something??

As I said THREE YEARS ago, making a joke about losing my lighter (I don't even smoke) is not the same as finding it funny when somebody has something thrown at them. It was a joke!

It might be time to move on now eh?

I do remember someone calling me an inbred cunt. I thought it was you, but appears it wasnt.

Anyway. You thought United should be done for this so I assume you feel the same about us.

I am surprised that you thought I called you an inbred cunt, you obviously have one hell of a memory so I am surprised that you haven't noticed that I don't really go in for name calling!

If it is proven that a coin hit him, and that the coin was thrown by a City fan, then City should receive the same punishment as united did for the Bellamy incident a few years ago at old trafford.
