While none of our strikers are in fantastic form at present these two for me are by far our best strikers and i believe the majority of City fans would be in agreement on that.

As long as they are fit i honestly don't think we can afford to not have these two starting every game together.Mancini really needs to give these two a good run of games and im certain we will reap the rewards.Our defense has looked far better since Mancini stopped chopping and changing it and i think he now needs to take this approach with the whole team.We only have two competitions to play for now and we need our best 11 on display in every game.

Absolutely agree mate.

If he doesn't feel the same then he will probably lose his job at the end of the season.

On that note - I had a conversation with a good rag mate of mine yesterday about how the rags handle players who need to leave the club because of relationship breakdown or lack of top level ability.

There is never any negative publicity from the manager and they recoup quite a fair amount of money back, particularly from shite academy products.

Balotelli and tevez could both have been sold and we could have got up to 60m for both but not now.

I don't want tevez to leave but at some point his contract has to be discussed because he continues to be one of the most influential players we ever had at the club.

Balotelli needs to go. I like reading his stories in the paper but I can think of numerous players we could buy that would help us win trophies more than him and that's what I want.

Get de rossi and falcao in at all costs asap. Get balo out. Sort out tevez' future and either extend the contract or sell in the summer.

Until then, play tevez and aguero every week and let's flaw back at least 4 points before January.

I don't believe I'm as good a manager as mancini but sometimes I wonder if it's the simple, and what I deem to be obvious, that lets him down.

Tevez is the best we have and the best I've seen in over 40 years of watching City. Kun has all the tools but has been way below par this season. However, as soon as Tevez is on the piotch, he creates so much space that even Nasri starts to look dangerous. Tevez is the key and should be the first name on the team sheet, he's a fantastic player.

Falco in and Mario out would be superb. If Dzeko doesn't fancy being a Super Sub, he can do what he likes beacuse he's not remotely up to the standard of Tevez and Kun. DDR would be a brilliant addition and is a no-brainer, but a bit of width is more needed. Walcott? Hmmmmm, not so sure. Something really quick would work for me. Sinclair? I dunno!

Agree with this. Been harping on about it for weeks to anyone that will listen. More than enything else I think it will be Mancini's reluctance to play these 2 that will be his downfall.
Like you say, it seems so simple and a complete no brainer to most of us.

Best partnership we got up front imo, with Dzeko having a super sub role to come on to change game plan if need be. Back four settled quickly enouh and so will a front two if there is consistancy instead of swapping and changing. Shove Mario in the reserves, some away games at horrid grounds with not many fans watching might just wake him up to the talent hes wasting.

Kun / tevez for me!

Unless I'm mistaken, I'm pretty sure we've not lost a league game that the two of the have started and have possibly won all of them. I also think we've won every game in which Dzeko has scored as a sub.

Based on the above, it seems pretty obvious what the starting positions should be.

After largely ignoring Mario for an hour, Aguero found Tevez within about 5 seconds of him coming on. It's not coincidence.

As strange as it might sound, it's difficult to know how important that stat is as we lose so few league games these days! I can't believe I am writing that but it's true. That said I would also start tevez/ kun.

I'd love to know Doug's opinion on this topic.

I could be wrong but it always seems to me that Silva plays better when Tevez is on the pitch, as he offers so much in so many different areas.

Any striking combination other than the Tevez /Aguero partnership, is only second best to my eyes and with the current points deficit re The Scum, we've got to forget about bruised egos and rotation, in order to play our first choice pairing to overhaul them a.s.a.p.

I think Mario doesn't know how to creat spaces, or put himself in good position and the first thing that pops in my mind is that moment, with Sunderland, when Kolarov had two identical crosses, one for Mario and then for Sergio that scored.

Beside that, Sergio and Tevez are two players that are a lot alike, so i think it is really easy for them to connect.

Just look at the Advent Cal on OS Carlos and Mario wrapping a present we are fucked.

If the incident v Sunderland was anything more than good fortune, how come Sergio wasn't in the same position to score on Sunday when a similar ball was played from the right, or on any of the occasions when Maicon has sent perfectly weighted passes accross the 6 yard box ?

I have to qualify my opinions by saying that, imo, if all 4 strikers are on top form, Mario is the least likely to score as the other 3 are all better. However they are not on top form & imo, Tevez is currently playing best (even though nowhere near the standard of two seasons ago) Mario is doing ok, & Serge/Dzeko are utter shite. But Mario gets the most criticism. It's totally unfair.

Couldn't agree more.

Just look at the media yesterday and today. Lawro and Hansen were all over Mario, Bobby again decided to talk about him in public and so on. For me, Sergio was playing worst than Mario in the derby, but i think that backheal that Mario wanted to do in the second half, was what took him off. After that moment, Sky had a close-up on Bobby and you could see on his face that he had enough.

Mario is a media target and will always be that. Somehow, that can be good, because it takes all the pressure of the other three strikers, however, they can became a bit careless. All in all, i think Mario can work with Tevez, but is a total fluke to use him with Sergio. Beside the derby, the 6-1, they can't work out and that time they worked because of Milner and his perfect service.

the difference is pirlo, who would improve any of our strikers by 200%.
