Return of De Jong?!?

Transfer listed and being pushed out already. If he is available for less than or equal to what we sold him for I'd take him back!

MANCHESTER CITY may look to capitalise in the January transfer window following the news that Nigel de Jong has been placed on AC Milan’s transfer list.

De Jong has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Rossoneri’s president Silvio Berlusconi.

The Dutchman could be tempted now to swap Serie A and plot a sensational return to Premier League.

Man City fans remember De Jong well before he left for AC in the summer.

Berlusconi was quoted in Italian football site ForzaItalianFootball.com, as saying: “We’re disappointed, it is a real shame for De Jong.

“We’re evaluating the opportunity of going back on to the market if that is what is necessary.

City have not been as free scoring as the previous campaign and have been leaky at the back too, having shipped 14 goals in their first 16 Barclays Premier League matches.

De Jong has featured in 12 Serie A games for AC this season.

Referring to his injury, obviously!

What shocking journalism, even coming from a posse of twats like The Express.

Terrible article.

But.

I'd offer them 2 million quid now and say well get him fit and take him off your hands.

I did not realise he had an injury. Quotes definitely suggest something totally different when taking his injury into account.

Agree, terrible journalism.

Lazy journalism indeed - there was a proper article about it linked on here yesterday - including quotes from the club, basically saying he was well liked at the club and it was a big blow for them to lose him to injury.

Buy him back cheap....put him on the bench....wheel him on in place of Nasri whenever there's a wall to be set up...genius.

Holy shit that is some bad journalism. They took his comments about NDJ's injury and turned into them
sounding like they wanted to sell him. Wow.

I'd also throw Nasri and Mario in just to close the deal. I would have a one legged Nige over them too pussys any day of the week.

Deep breaths now, deep breaths. I know your heart must have fluttered, maybe even just a little bit, when you saw this thread title, even if you did know about the injury (which I assume you did, also assuming you've been following his process like a jilted lover).

I would take him back even if his leg had fallen off.......fact.

I know. I still miss him, but the callous blue in me did think 'thank god it wasn't whilst he was playing for us'. Cruel?

Just shows the genius behind the article. On what footballing planet is having a better record than last year, and the second best in the league "leaky"?

The main reason he went was because he wouldn't sign a new contract cos he wanted mega-bucks. That won't have changed
