Sky reporting some altercation between some fans (assuming Newcastle fans) and City players after the game ... more to follow.

This is on Sky Sports 2 in the post match analysis, not Sky Sports News.

It's not hit the news aggregators yet. I hope it's not too serious. If they've picked on our midgets i will be annoyed.

What does 'from Twitter' mean?

Seriously, you may as well just say 'from the internet'. Quoting Twitter as a source doesn't mean anything. At least state which person/organisation has said it.

I know. You might as well write "I have a feeling that....". I blame the news media on this. They started this trend because it was easier on their budgets to go on the internet than to actually do actual investigations.

Kolarov. The whole Kosovo thing. It's basically a racist assault, unless the FA believe such a thing can only happen to a black player.

Police are investigating a complaint made against Manchester City player Aleks Kolarov after he had an argument with a fan at the Blues' Premier League match against Newcastle at St James' Park.

The fan had an Albanian flag and has made a complaint to the police after words were exchanged.

Serbian defender Kolarov came on as a substitute in City's 3-1 win but was also substituted off when he picked up an injury.

If there's one player you don't want to mess with in the City team it's fuckin Kola!!

If I found out who this fat moob'd Geordie prick is he'll be returning back to his council house in bits in a bin bag.

I understand that people take their national flags to a stadium but, Albanian? Then waves it in Kola's face?

Not to sound too paranoid but I bet there's pics and a full interview with the 'Hard Doneby' in the Sun tomorrow swiftly followed by a 3 match ban from the FA.

Kolarov was getting loads of shit from a section of the home support whilst on the pitch , did anyone else notice this ?

Information from Twitter can be as reliable or unreliable as any other source.

If the tweet is by somebody you have reason to trust then why not treat it as reliable? Of course, if it is from a complete stranger of a knobhead then you would be wise to ignore it.

Either way, I don't think you can make a sweeping statement that anything read on Twitter is not correct.
