The next 5 games

Why is it that not one City game is shown over the Xmas period? By the looks of things the next game on the telly is Arsenal away on Jan 13th?

Does anyone know why the champions of England are getting such little air time over the busiest part of the football calendar?

I've noticed that we have been on considerably less than last season where we were on nearly every game. There's got to be a reason for it as when we were leaking a few goals early on we were getting plenty of air time.

My paranoid little mind tells me that clubs get extra money for televised matches and I've noticed also that the Rags seem to be on every game lately. Seems suspect to me but eh, that's the way I roll.

The Rags always get decent air time, but the $ky games over Xmas are bland to say the least, I know we don't play any "big" games but come, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS for fuck sakes!

Thats a strange one alright you would think Sky would at least have one of the games.

I know this does not help anyone in the uk but City are on setanta Ireland tomorrow.

Sky & ESPN have to show every team a certain amount of times, and they always seem to cram a few of those in over the Christmas period because even for big games there are lower viewing figures during Christmas generally (people busy with other stuff etc). Its a good time for them to 'bury some bad games', in terms of cranking out some of the less glamorous teams without risking lower viewing figures.

Also, we've been on TV an awful lot this season, the lack of 3pm kick offs on a Saturday has been depressing, its the one downside of success.

Nature of the being mate. A bit Sherlock Holmes'ish:

'When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?'

We have played 17 league games this season and been on the tv 12 times so I don't think really this argument of us not being on tv that much really stands up.

Every club has to be shown a minimum number of times a season - usually about 8-10. The likes of City, United etc will be shown about 20 times plus, hence why we get a slightly bigger chunk of the tv money.

Shhhhhh, they only showed us twice this month and 3 games out of 5 last month. We should be on every game. Not a single game until mid-Jan now, what a farce. United are even on on Sunday (although they're not on again until mid-Jan also)!

You've got to take my predjudice into account when it comes to Sky ;-)

I'm more alarmed that Scouse 1 have 7 televised games between now and 3rd Feb. No other team in the bottom half gets such exposure.

As You know, I am top of the list when it comes to prejudice towards media.
I started screaming at SS ITA on Tuesday, as apparently they had planned a 1 hour delay on the broadcasting Of the England's Champs, because of simultaneous Serie A crowded fixtures (as You know, Italian footballers share the same privileges of Italian employees, rather than entertain people on holidays, as traditional in the Homeland of Footy).
Upon another mailing bombing from many of the widespread community of Italian lovers of the Prem, They listened sense and reassessed the schedule to feed the City game live!

All this blow job deemed to say that - on international TV Rights' markets - while the rags bias is still very lively, the Audience is made by MCFC!!!
People want CITEH, The world is getting more and more greedy of CITEH!
