Sly signing

We are running out of ideas & lack a spark.

Why not try to do a sly Ferguson type trick & bring in a ringer on loan ?

There will be clubs with money problems & big players sat on the bench. I can't give examples but I'm pretty sure there are loads.

AC Milan have done it with clubs including City; Robinho etc. Selling a top player in Jan is undsireable for most clubs. Loaning out one who has had a row with the manager or can't get a game is a very welcome option for some.

An extra creative spark or a veteran goalscorer who can shoot (NOT A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER) may be all it needs to get the wagon back on the road. Add that to a bit of a cameo from John Guidetti & we may suddenly have a bit of inspiration again.

Show some thinking outside the obvious.

Without a shadow of a doubt. We need a lift and i'd take someone with pace that can go past a player, someone who can pass the ball quickly and accurately from deep or someone who can up the tempo of the whole team. (De Rossi would have been perfect for the latter role but that ship's sailed.)

I would still have DeRossi but like you say; it's gone.

He wouldn't change the front end of the team though & that's what I want to see. There's got to be a player out there who could have the short term effect that Tommy Hutchison had when Bond signed him. I'm sure there's one out there. Not every signing has to be for 5 years time. Let's rescue this season before it's over.

To be fair I'd prefer to change the dynamic of the team in such a way that the ball gets forward faster or that we move the opposition around to more effect than we currently do, as this would create more space/time for our current forwards. However, a quick-fix might be the best we can hope for.

I dont think that any goalscorer, veteran or not, could solve our problem.
We're not creating chances. Our style of playing suddenly (or maybe not so suddenly) became obsolete for this competition.
In present situation its not the goalscorer but the midfield and the wings the primary focus point that needs some changing.

I can sense there is a major signing going to happen soon at City. Mario and Joleon have been frozen out so there just has to be some movement either way there !

Football as we all know is all about confidence whether it s a £40 million player or an amature ........ we have become bogged down with bobby mancs tactics , we arent scoring goals , the confidence has gone . David Silva for all his genius needs to score more goals , how a world class player of his stature doesnt score more goals is unreal for me and it is costing us points , with players of his quality things can change for the better quickly so lets hope so . Aguero and Tevez are both having a lean spell , this is more down to how we are set up this season imho , gone has the crisp counter attacking free flowing football of last season and our world class strikers as good as they are arent getting the opportunities to find the back of the net like last season. All said and done this situation can change for the better quickly with the quality of player we already have and january is a bad bad time for signing world class players ......... its upto bobby manc to get back to WHAT WE WERE DOING SO RIGHT LAST SEASON IMHO .

Snap. Well I think he would be great. Similar but not ruined by Mancini and his weird mental tactics.

Villa used to have a fantastic understanding with Silva & is willing to shoot.

Is he still any good though & would Barca let him go when they are looking at winning the Champion's League ?

He would allow us to push Yaya further forward. That wouldn't give us any more width though, just another option through the middle.

We need two wingers.

Yaya is forward much of the time in games like yesterday but has joined the pass sideways & never shoot society.

All of our strikers used to shoot from outside the box regularly before they signed for us. Some even used to do it for us. If our own players could be persuaded to do it again then a wide man would be very welcome.

Villa hasn't caught the affliction though, so could make a difference.

Tbh I have a feeling it wouldnt help because any player would be regimented under Mancini.

Signings will make or break our season, RM does not get the backing he will expolde. If Chelsea sign Falco and he hits the ground running we will have another team scoring shed loads. Our game plan seems to be no width required, that has to have been killed Yesterday. Again ih he buys width why sell AJ. Conceding 1 goal against a hardworking pile of shit should not be a panic button it was and that for me shows a worrying problem it was Game over as we look fucked upfront. He is to stubborn, has somehow failed to build on the strength he had from winning the League, go back to pre-season how much was Marwoods fault and how much did his chat with Monaco lose us valuable time for building the squad to go again stronger, Clubs players agents all piss in the same point he has to take the blame for the summer non-signings , which he blames Marwood, if he was speaking with others he is now reaping what he sowed. He allowed De Jong to go, his treatment of Lescot not my Fav players looks vindictive which with a popular lad will cause others to think he is a twat. He is heading for the red zone. No dough coughed up IMHO he will walk.

apparently wesley sneijder is more than likely leaving and we could buy him for less than 20mil? but obviously would demand ridiculous wages that we can't afford no more or should have to.
