not a great lover of the Potters - by any means - but I'd avoid to label 'Em as Pub Team..... just saying.

I hate to see title threads like this, especially if it comes to bite us back on the arse.

NT, any chance of editing to state the obvious. I was feeling quite confident today but now the title thread has somehow brought me down to earth.

Also, I don't think they are that team anymore. They still have their physical attributes, which I don't really have a problem with, but Pulis is evolving their style and we now see them playing more football on the ground using pace on the wings.

Is this the same pub team that took two important points off us away last season?

If they beat us, they're still a pub team. It's just honesty. They are diabollically shit, whatever the outcome.

That's a little unfair Ted. Stoke are sat comfortably in 8th and under Pulis are now a regular PL side in less than 5 seasons. If they're shit why aren't we drubbing them when we go away from home?

At home though we've had three 3-0 wins and one 2-0 win since they've been back in the Prem; not a point gained from us.

2012/2013

Stoke 1 - 1 Man City

2011/2012

Stoke 1 - 1 Man City

Man City 3 - 0 Stoke

2010/2011

Man City 3 - 0 Stoke

Man City 1 - 0 Stoke

Stoke 1 - 1 Man City

2009/2010

Stoke 3 - 1 Man City

Man City 2 - 0 Stoke

2008/2009

1-0 to us would be more than acceptable. We need to win and keep winning.

Just been watching the Golden Goals v the Potters on OS. 5 minutes of goals from Lee through to Yaya's thunder buster, including Yaya's FA Cup winner.

Perhaps we have been übershite whenever we've met them and not cleaved through them like a reaper? And then the teams that we beat when we are übershite are üübershite themselves and then there's a sliding scale all the way down with an increasing amount of ü:s until you reach the crappiest children's team in the world? Basically, any team that isn't blowing away the opposition every game they play, run the risk of being shit. It's a dangerous world out there.

I think you need to edit the very first post itself to change the title ... else it keeps going back to pub team.

It was tongue in cheek. Crouch last season, Rooney before that.

I hope that means Milner sat back with Baz and Yaya further forward!
