What fee would we get for Balo?

It seems to be that most fans would prefer to ditch Mario, and pronto.
So if he were to leave in January what fee do you think he would attract.
Personally I don't think anybody will take him, but I'd suggest a fee of £5-8 million would be the best we could hope for.
More likely, if we really wanted him gone, would be a loan deal with wages heavily subsidised. Then we he did nothing more than average, a deal for that kind of fee in the summer.

£5m to £8m is a steal. I wouldnt accept anything less than £20m.

Not a prayer.
If you were in charge Balo, would be staying.
I think he will be here til the end of his contract ish and we won't get a fee for him at all. I can't imagine him signing a new deal ever, and in the meantime he'll continue to be a pain and bad news, never justifying the huge wedge of cash he is on.

Whether he stays or goes I think will depend massively on what our owner wants to happen. If he has had enough he will probably go on the cheap.

I think we'd all be surprised at what price we'd get for him, even after all the controversy. We've taken hits on players we don't want but with Mario it's all together different thing. Somebody may want him cheap but I'm fairly certain we wouldn't sell him cheap.

No-one would make an offer, and he'd spend the next two years on loan where we pay most of his wages.

I don't think we will sell him because of how much we would get for him right now.
Clubs may come in for him and offer around 15m, but like someone has already said, the owners won't allow him to go at that price, especially when we bought him for 25m. Furthermore, he's only 20 years old and he still has 3 years or so on his contract.

If 15m was offered by anyone, City would rip their hands off.

I don't think they would. I don't think they will let him go for less than 20m.

One of the most marketable players in the world. Buy Mario and your club's profile will be raised 2x in the media regardless of how he actually performs on the pitch. Only 22, potential to be great, and he'll sell a ton of jerseys. Worth much more than his current performance level. Anyone who would take less than 20 mil is insane (less than 10 mil and you are mentally dysfunctional).
Why do our fans seem to turn on our players so quickly? First a thread where many were saying to sell Micah of all people (!?!?) and now these about Mario. He's had a disappointing 1/2 season, not the end of the world. His teammates and manager are still behind him. One of the greatest players in the world (Zlatan) just gave him a big shout. Have more patience than a squirrel on meth and get behind your team.

Mario needs to do the bizz on the pitch ........ anytime soon would be good and maybe just maybe someone else will take him for around £20 million in the summer.

I think his value is somewhere in the region of 20-25 million.I would expect the offer to be undisclosed and include a sell on clause etc.
To think he would be sold for 5-8 million is crazy, Sturridge just sold for 12 million.
I know he is a complete pain in the ass at times but he is one of the most recognisable names in football right now.

If clubs are prepared to spend a fortune on mediocrities like beckham purely for the publicity, I'm sure a genuine talent like Balotelli (along with the publicity he brings) will fetch a good price.

Nice sentiments mate but it'll never happen, people want to express their view.
There used to be a bloke who sat next to my mate (just in front of me) who would turn up for games when his mum and dad couldn't make the game (quite old so understandable). He'd sit there shouting for players to pass to such a person, pass to another person and then shoot on his demand. He'd do this over and over again until he'd finally flip because the team were not doing as he asked and would end up snapping, jumping up from his seat and then storming out. That was until after about 3 seasons where he gave the word of command (and this is still vivid in my mind) for Stevie Ireland to pass it to SWP to pass it to Robinho who he demanded to shoot. This passage of play was so obvious but when he scored the bloke jumped up and shouted 'I told you to listen to me, we'd win the fucking league if you listened to me' and then exited stage left once again. After celebrating we just looked at each other in amazement.
That is just one of many fans in the ground who will slate and abuse the players just because they are not hearing his every thought. Yes, this bloke was an absolute nutcase (in my book anyway) but as always we have a decent cross section of fans with diverse thinking and different intellect.
It's all part of what makes City the club we all love and if we didn't have that we'd never have got through the oh so 'Typical' years Those years brought out the best in people, now they are used to nothing else and deep down long for what we had.
Funny old game, isn't it.

Its funny that the fees mentioned are so low when the papers continue to band about £45m.
I'm not saying that we'll get that for him but £20m buys a lot more Stewart Downings than it buys you Luis Suarez's these days.
Personally i'd accept whatever would allow us to bring in Falcao and not effect FFP.

Do people really think we are going to bring in Falcao without getting rid of 3 of our strikers?

Does it have to be 3? I was thinking more of 1 in 1 out and if were to sell Mario we'd need a replacement instantly and Falcao would be my pick.
