“We want to win the title for our fans who I have a wonderful relationship with. I’m so happy here. Only now do I realise what I did with my goal six months ago. The months went by and I understood what that goal meant for all of us.“People in the streets are always telling me stuff about that goal. But I didn¹t realise what it had meant when I scored it, as I felt as if I were in another world."Even today, it is surprising for me when I arrive at the stadium and see those huge pictures of my goal. It¹s unbelievable for me that FIFA have chosen my goal as one of the 12 moments of the year. I hope to have many more moments like this in the future.”

The mans only here a year or so and already a legend. Real madrid??? pfttt

a dark, forbidding world where people weren't free, and he removed the shackles.

FACT.

The most amazing sporting moment of my life and i doubt it can be topped. He'll honestly look back on that as his greatest goal ever i believe, even if he goes on to much success with us. He'd have to win the world cup and score the goal that did it to top that one imho. Everytime i meet a blue anywhere we talk about that moment and get a tiny bit damp. Even neutrals as well.

It was just such a powerful and beautiful strike as well...it was a fitting goal for what it accomplished. A stabbing lunge that ripped the title out of their hands and cemented glory for a team that deserved to win, and proved that over the last month of the season.
