Consider the quality of our current squad and the quality of our youth.
If we didn't bring in a single senior player for the next 3 seasons, do you still think we could compete and win trophies? Could we maintain the rage even if we sold some players and promoted from within?

No, Every players needs competition for shirt from Hart to Yaya, we need to build on what we have not sit back. We need a centre half for a start.

No way.
The rags signed a 25 million 'CROCK' and he has scored 20+ goals already and his team sit at the top of the league by 7 points.
ALWAYS,ALWAYS TRY TO IMPROVE.

Same answer here as to your opinion that we would go unbeaten this season.
Absolutely no chance.

No.
But signing a 30 year old £25 mil CROCKs isn't the way to go either. At a pinch, a signing like that that would have been acceptable this season as a one off, last throw of the dice, but clearly there was no real enthusiasm for it (or for DeRossi) from the 'powers that be'.
They know that phase 1 is over, & it's important that we now bring through some of the young players, to prove we are the right club to sign for. At the same time, all the players young & old who are taking money out of the club but unlikely to figure in the 1st team need to go & be replaced with genuine talent, young & older. Balotelli for instance needs to go if he doesn't contribute this season.
I think we'll make 1 perhaps 2 big signings & the rest will be purely signed on potential.

I agree. I don't think we will ever see the massive influx of players again as our squad is strong. I also agree that we will sign two/three big players a season and a few youths throughout the season.

have you ever heard of a team called Arsenal ?
We don't need conjecture to wonder what happens to strong teams with a good youth setup who don't invest

if by "a good youth set up" you mean spending relatively large amounts of money bringing in teenagers and hoping that a couple of them come good....
Also, arsenal may not bring in "big names", but they do spend a reasonable amount of cash on players themselves... They did for instance spend £45m+ just a few months ago...

Just to give my response to the question. I think we could win at least one trophy each season for the next two, but not the third.
Even so, the core is there. It's just a case now of moving out the unhappy ones and bringing in one or two to fill the spots.
What I think is really important from here is that the young guys who have been here for a while force there way through to a regular spot. We have to show young players that if they come here they will have a chance to break through.
This is also important for FFP purposes to bring the wage bill down.
