Looking at the Fulham golden goals clip on the website makes me miss something. We don't do break away goals anymore, or of course we do, but just not that often. But I mean, there's such a beauty in that type of goal. Even when the scorer is Beasly or Croft, players who otherwise were found wanting in this league, it's so beautiful. The speed, the one touch, the dribbling. For me, that's part of football. I'm very happy with where we're at, but I wish we'd set us up for a bit more of those types of goals.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

To be fair, it's difficult for us to do that these days when the majority of opposing teams (home or away) keep about 8 players deep in their own half even when they're attacking us.

That goal we scored against Barca in the pres eason game was a thing of utter beauty.

Note that Yaya played against us in this game. Unfortunately they chopped the lead up to the goal.

Yeah I know, it's what it is. I just miss it is all.

Yeah, I grew up on Colin Bell and Denis Tueart, so watching us hitting teams on the break with speed and skill is something I love to see. However, I'm learning to enjoy this intelligent style of football we now play. Patience is the key, I think.

I'm fairly confident of us beating Fulham but I'm not so optimistic of United dropping points. Under Mancini the record against Fulham is won 4, drawn 2 whilst at home it is won 1, drawn 1; 3-0 the last time out.

Spurs seem to be useless at home to the Rags and I'm sure they've not beaten them at WHL for 12 years! They did beat them at the Swamp though so there is some hope. It's just the inclusion of Chris Foy that should be worrying the Spurs fans, has he been given the game to make amends for the reverse fixture?

They've got Clichy on Football Focus and he comes across really well. Talking about his long wait to win the Premier League again and what it meant to him; showed him diving on Joe with tears of joy.

Every player I see/hear interviewed always come across as driven and hungry for success, it's really good to see.

Spurs are generally useless against the scum so maybe their win at the swamp signalled a change. They may only get a draw today but it's better than nothing. As long as we win and that might not be very easy.

Doesn't come across like that on the pitch sometimes though which is why we are 7 points behind the scum.

Never doubted clichys commitment and drive. He always gives 100 percent and sometimes puts team mates to shame. If all our team put the effort in that he does we'd be near unbeatable. 7 mill. That's a snip.

This season or last? It's a debate but not for the match thread.

Tevez hatrick and a Milner brace will do for me. Don't like to ask too much.
