platty ... err , your point is ????

909 ... like i said .....

platty ... where is this interview going ????

909 ... are your players going to change the way they tackle ?

That sounds really pathetic. What the fuck as that got to do with the game where there was next to nothing card wise?

Sounds like a bitter journo doing a job for a Rag loving bitter station.

Truly pathetic.

Edit: Wait a minute, 909 is Radio 5 Live, the Beeb!

he's called mark, not martin, and it wasn't quite like that. he was trying to start an amicable conversation about how tackling has changed over the years, but mr platt was having none of it.

<edit>, it was actually nothing like that at all, and your "quotes" are nonsense. and he didn't cut him off either. but apart from all that, you're spot on.

We've just won a game 2-0 and he's asking Platt about the art of tackling? Did he mention the Kompany challenge?

he was asking if anything had been said to VK/the defenders about tackling these days, mr platt got a bit arsey, saying (rightly) "why would we - the red card was rescinded". pougatch took a bit of offence at mr platt's attitude. william shakespear wrote a play about this...

"thanks for joining us david"

"it's been a pleasure, mark"

proper cut off, innit.

and perhaps there wasn't a lot of talk about the game (other than david silva playing really well, which they did talk about), because there wasn't a great deal else to talk about???

Cheers boys, all part of the experience. Bit gutted that Platt didn't plant a potato on him.

I was listening at the time and I thought Platt answered the questions brilliantly and as I would have hoped they would have been answered. There was no reason at all to raise the questions except that he wanted to get a nice soundbite or whatever from Platt that they could repeat. Anything along the lines of City warn Kompany about his tackling after his ban was luckily rescinded.

I think the idiot went on to ask others similar questions and my guess is they would carry on until somebody said it should not have been overturned so they could quote that person. Sad journalism and Platt didn't bite so well done David.

PS and I wouldn't have called it a spat either ( are you working for the Sun?)

no, he asked him if he'd been wrong to ask the question, lawro (the cat-cunt fettling flap jack) said no - but it was a fair challenge. hence disproving doug's assertion.

Did anyone hear the journo in the back ground say "fuck you" to platt????
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Heard that while I was driving home, it was nowhere near as bad as some were making out. Pougatch was just asking if in the light of last weekend whether the coaching staff had talked to ALL players, not just Kompany about the best way to tackle and the best technique to use. Platt was quite defensive and a bit uppity, but that's not really an issue, but to suggest the presenter was doing anything wrong is a bit daft in my opinion, and there was no sign of anyone being cut off at the end, ended very amicably.
