I honestly can't remember him as a manager. I remember King of the Kippax issues with his face on (one, I believe, had him as Mr Potato Head), so I must've been to games when he was our boss, but can never remember thinking "Frank Clark is our manager". I probably have stronger memories of him at Notts Forest.

Oddly, I attach memories to Phil Neal - perhaps because I only attended one game with him in charge, which would have been one of my first matches.

I was on a course in Swindon at the time. They were near the top of the table at the time and really fancied it. I came back for the match, went back on Monday morning and gave them loads.
As an aside , the place where the course was (King Edward Place) was where Swindon trained. Fantastic pitches to play on :-)

I've got a terrible record watching us. I think out of the first 30-odd games I saw us play, we won about four. Last season, I went to two games. We lost both. This season, I've been to 3: Charity Shield, home v Southampton, and the League Cup abhorrence vs Villa. Things are picking up.

He was fucking useless and Joe Royle and the Wardle/Makin/Tueart/(Bernstein for a while, Keegan for a while, Pearce for a while) axis stabilised the club. Don't insult our intelligence, or your own.
