Lets not be sacrastic here and say the day he left. This is a man who stabalised our club. He took the job noone else wanted He replaced Phil Neal who replace Stave Coppell. Frank was the man for the moment. This is a man who brough legends such as Horlock and Weikens to the club.

So what are you left with since the day he left 15 years ago, next month. Which of his 20 victories stand out for the ages?

I was glad to be in Morrisons in Cheadle Heath at full time after leaving early one down against Bury. A tru low point.

And I still wonder what exactly he meant with his "fifth column" comment.

Wikipedia on his time with us:
He then managed Manchester City for just over a year.

I honestly can't remember him as a manager. I remember King of the Kippax issues with his face on (one, I believe, had him as Mr Potato Head), so I must've been to games when he was our boss, but can never remember thinking "Frank Clark is our manager". I probably have stronger memories of him at Notts Forest.

Oddly, I attach memories to Phil Neal - perhaps because I only attended one game with him in charge, which would have been one of my first matches.

Edit: it was my first City match. 2-1 defeat away to Oldham just before Christmas.

Actually, I do remember that. I could've gone to that game, but decided to stay in South Wales to make use of my Swansea season ticket. I've done the same for demolitions of Everton and Charlton, too, if memory serves me.

Georgi Kinkladze (7), Chris Casper (og 17), Kevin Horlock (37), Paul Dickov (50, 59), Lee Bradbury (80)

One, in the 80th minute. He started.

Can we banish you to Wales for the derby please?

I was on a course in Swindon at the time. They were near the top of the table at the time and really fancied it. I came back for the match, went back on Monday morning and gave them loads.
As an aside , the place where the course was (King Edward Place) was where Swindon trained. Fantastic pitches to play on :-)

We were supposed to come out at half-time to do a draw at Maine Road once but Frank Clark said "I don't want those two tossers on the pitch", and we respected him for that.

I've got a terrible record watching us. I think out of the first 30-odd games I saw us play, we won about four. Last season, I went to two games. We lost both. This season, I've been to 3: Charity Shield, home v Southampton, and the League Cup abhorrence vs Villa. Things are picking up.

He was fucking useless and Joe Royle and the Wardle/Makin/Tueart/(Bernstein for a while, Keegan for a while, Pearce for a while) axis stabilised the club. Don't insult our intelligence, or your own.

Clark is the only head I've ever called for.

Now I'm mad at myself for rising to your bollocks thread.

Five words: Craig Russell at left back.
