Fergie is at it again, this time with the assistant ref, who he has deemed very poor after the performance vs. Tott.

Anything to be done about this? No, I thought not ... the FA have given him free range to say whatever he pleases, so why would he change?

Taggart's only bothersome if you bother taking any notice of him.

If you consider Taggart to be akin to that pissed old bloke on Market Street that takes occasional sips from the bottle hidden in his crumpled plain brown paper bag, he becomes whatever you want to make of his ramblings.

what does it mean when he says he would never call drogba offsides when they were there, even when it was by 3 feet then? If that's not saying there is bias AGAINST united by this ref, then does he actually have to say the word bias for it to count? And didn't BFS say something basic along the lines of 'he got the call wrong' ?

Taggart has been banned 5 times over comments made about refs, a somewhat dire percentage of the actual times he should have been banned given, but only once in that five did he bring up bias.

its a big two points dropped and he knows it.

And Dermot Gallagher has been on sky backing up the decision saying he didn't think it was a pen at the time and he still thinks that Rooney has kicked the players leg and gone down as he was behind him. Ha ha ha ha, love it, no doubt taggart will be having kittens in his next press conference.

It is a very old trick and one that has been used many many times over many many years. But to consider that Taggart invented it, or that he in some way is clever at it is ridiculous.
Making a contraversial statement to deflect the media headlines or shove the story of the defeat onto an inside page is a well trodden path. It is wholly dependent on having a compliant media to cooperate.
It's a ploy that is and has been used by dozens of managers over the years. but to give Taggart any credit for this is nonsense. Justput it down to idiot editors.
