Would've somehow been more surprised if they'd have actually won tonight.

As long as Mcleish got i would hope. I dont mind villa really...besides..if they stay up and the randy learner wants to sell and make it a viable proposition it may sway him to side with City and chelsea on the fair play issues...maybe

We've a great record against them hope they stay up. Can't be easy playin so many youngsters and bargain signings, long way since o Neil blew their kings ransom. Lambert will come good for them.

The bent situation is weird him and Benteke would nearly keep them up alone.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have a soft spot for Villa. I have a few mates you suppourt them and they are a good bunch. Plus even when we were shit we always got a result from them every year.

A lot of people went on about Lambert being a good manager. His record is patchy at best.

Livingston - relegated.

Wycombe - Failed to get them out the 2nd division twice.

Colchester - Hardly there long enough. One freak result against Norwich and he gets the job.

Norwich - Should never have been in the second division in the first place. Anyone who was not Bryan Gunn could have got them out of that division. The Championship is an odd division where most teams fancy their chances of getting up.

Norwich in the PL - Yes he did a good job. But have they missed him?

Villa - Woeful.

If they want to stay up they need to get rid of their manager, pronto (or is it Lambert?).

I wont believe it 'til I see it in print - these snap decisions are killing the game - sometimes I think it's only the fans who get the picture.

Hasn't Pronto just taken over the Saints?

No, they've been taken over by his little brother, pronchettino. But if he gets a result at the Theatre of Broken English next week, he'll be an immediate success.

I don't particularly mind Villa. They once spent some time in the third tier, and within 10 years they won the European Cup. So, in our darkest days, I saw them as a bit of hope as what can happen.

The one thing that they have going for them is that they know that they're in the shit and have time to do something about it.

Recently employed a Villa supporter, good lad, from Birmingham, got the option on his ex mate a rag cunt from Crawley. God I hate those missing a heart beat, hyena (sp) scum. I've fought with bhafc for no reason against cpfc but it made more sense.

I'd like Villa to stay up, but they're in free fall at the moment.

I find the whole Darren Bent situation strange. They have a striker capable of scoring them 20+ goals in a season yet they refuse to play him (apart from in the FA Cup).

Is there a clause in the deal when they bought him that if he plays a certain number of Premier League games then they have to pay another instalment on his transfer fee? If so, then I imagine that fee will be a lot less than the money they'll lose if they get relegated! Or even if it is just a case that Lambert doesn't like him, then he should be man enough to put aside his differences for the sake of the club.
