10 Points and looking solid.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

10 Points and looking solid.

Will you be happy with the FA Cup? And why do we seemed to be happy letting players leave and not replace them.. we've given the league away this season IMO.

Not feeling very optimistic tonight.

IMO it's over already, not a chance they will fuck up like last year. They are a wounded animal and last season would have hurt Fergie and his players more than any league title they have lost. He will keep on at them and on. We have been poor this season for one reason or another and you just can't afford to give a team like United a lead of 7 or 10 points. I'm gutted beyond belief.

Win tomorrow and its 7pts, beat them and its 4pts - have I missed something -where's the faith? This is the shittest rag team for ages and their fans know it, the defence is as leaky as a sieve - did you all really think they wouldn't beat Fulham? Had you all thrown the title away before the game kicked off? Shake your heads and get a grip

If we can't catch them, the games like Sunderland & West Ham will be where we blew it. If we win every game from now on, we will probably win the league still, but we most likely won't win every game, & the games we fail in are just as likely to be at somewhere like Southampton or Reading as at the swamp. QPR, although shit, was a little bit different imo because of the awful conditions, but West Ham & Sunderland were purely down to us being well below par; neither of those sides really defended that well, we just made them look it.

It's a recurring theme that some teams can stop us with basic bog standard defending.

We got away with it last season due to our fantastic start, but it must be sorted for next season.

I would be delighted with the FA Cup this season plus a good finish to the league. Like SoF I don't think there is a cat in hell's chance the scum will lose enough points no matter what we do but we need to keep the pressure on as best we can starting tomorrow.

That's the thing Doug. IF we could get close, I think they would shit but getting close is the problem.

Come on mate.. theyre unbeaten in how many? Theyre not that shit and what does that make us? They would have beat QPR last week easily.

I agree. If we get those two wins, 4pts is nothing. They do leak goals and they will draw and lose a few more games. We just need to make sure we are on their tail get the results we need.

Probably. One thing to hope for is that they will burn out soon, having started the season better than usually (or am I wrong?), while we started sluggishly and might perhaps have one more gear in us. I don't know though, I don't think we have it in us this season.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

They keep on grinding out results and that appears to be something that is beyond us. Our forward play has deserted us this year where there's has improved massively. I think big changes will be a foot at City in the summer and I for one hope its a game changing signing much like RVP has been for them. He is there talisman and IMO a talisman is something we have lacked this season.

We had Yaya last year but he hasn't be anywhere near that form this season. Says a lot about us when our best player for the season is a right back. Last year you could name 6 or 7 players for player of the year, this year you will struggle with 2 or 3.

That's true, but it probably means us winning every single game.

EXACTLY!!! You would have thought after what happened last season, that the "never give up", "it's never over till it's over" attitude which won us the title in the last 2 minutes, would have finally sunk in, but no, still the same old miserable bastards thinking all is always lost cropping up
If we're gonna be winners for the next 15 years, a lot of our fans need to change the tune and believe!

I said a few weeks ago that I thought we were out of it and I still feel the same. With the transfer problems we had and the lethargic start to the season it was hard to see how we'd even get close, considering United's blistering form. This isn't me being defeatest and I don't get upset with it like some as I didn't set the bar to win all in front of us. What pisses me off more is seeing the Rags win by 'hook or by crook' in their determination to get the 20th. Some of the refereeing decisions have had me fuming.

It'd be nice to win the FA Cup but as always it's a bit of a lottery. Winning it would be a bonus and ensuring we compete in the league for the rest of the season will keep me smiling. Coming back and winning it would probably be better than last season.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

It's being a realistic mate, they have improved and we have gone backwards, they are not going to blow this lead. We will drop more points in this run in as we can't beat teams that park the bus. That is a fact and something that Bobby or the next manager needs to address before next season.

You don't win titles regularly by being this far behind, you win occasionally.

The team who usually wins the title is the team where the rags are now. It's not a normal thing that we did last season, it was a huge achievement which is rarely repeated.
