I know it's early but fuck it. Who's your team for today?

Hart

Zab - Garcia - Lescott - Clichy

Milner - Barry

Silva - Tevez - Aguero

Dzeko

We beat them 3-0 last season but without Kompany, Yaya et al and the inclusion of Sturridge to their ranks, it could be a far different game.

Sorry to hijack the match thread but I've been let down for a ticket today and am hoping someone has a spare? Near block 210 would be ideal but happy with anywhere. Cheers. Back on topic can see a 3-1 win today!

I'll take a win of any description.

Hart

Zab - Garcia - Lescott - Clichy

Milner - Barry

Silva - Aguero - Nasri

Dzeko

I'd have Nasri on the left and drop Tevez to the bench. Otherwise a good shout.

You're probably better starting a new thread mate, it'll probably get lost in here.

As above, a win of any sort will do, even a hand of god ala buck tooth! Lol

Crucial game today, I really hope the players turn up, QPR was woeful and I don't want to see a performance like that again. We can put it down to Mario leaving and it being an emotional night ;-)

My best mate is a bin dipper and he's coming round for beer and Pringles, a win or I'm mince meat.................

I'm just hoping we get that early goal. And fingers crossed Tevez gets on the score sheet today and has a quality game, not just with his work rate.

Team wise I'd go with:

---------------Kolarov

Kolarov--Kolarov--Kolarov--Kolarov

----------Kolarov--Garcia------------

Kolarov-----------------------Kolarov

----------Kolarov--Kolarov----------

I think Tevez will be rested as well. I just wanted to see an attacking front 4 with either Barry or Milner pushing on; Clichy and Zab's to drag them out. I think Rodgers will try and do a QPR/Sunderland/Stoke........... on our arses with the quick break from Saurez when we push even more players forward.

Hart

Zaba. Nasti. Lescott. Clichy

Barry. Garcia
Silva. Milner

Aguero. Tevez

I think he will go with a conventional 4-4-2 that will be strong in attack and defensively.
He will bring Dzeko, kolorov and Rodwell on in the last twenty.

I just hope we have aproch we had against Arsenal , go for goal , press, high tempo , not any more that 101 pass araund , we had few games early goals with that kind of start. and then come QPR u can see from start that it was kind of lazy like 3 pts will come with half effort. Hope Milner is on Wing Garcia back to DM .

I'd give Sinclair a runout today as well. Johnson isn't the best fullback. Mancini won't give him a shot though.

I think Rogers will play both Suarez and Sturridge, so I am expecting a more open game. If either name is missing from their starting line-up, then I'll expect a loooooong afternoon.

I don't think it will be that open. They usually have a go in the first 10 mins to see if they can pinch one, then sit back, like they did in both league cup games last year.
If we can score early we'll be sorted.

They didn't do that against the rags at the swamp. They sat back for pretty much 80 minutes and allowed the rags to do whatever they wanted. They only woke up for the final 10.

If he decides to go for Nasti/Lescott then I think he needs to position Garcia in front of them to stop Suarez running at them & Gerrard taking pot shots.

That done, we can set about dismantling Liverpool with whomever he decides to pick; they are all capable of doing it.

Leave Lescott & Nasti unprotected & Suarez/Sturridge will have them for breakfast (as they would Vinny 1v1). Those two, unlike our strikers, pass to each other & run off each other. It's a straightforward, obvious threat.

Deal with it tactically then take them to pieces.
