Anyone decent and we are useless. Even Liverpool were better than us today, and they are a midtable side that lose to third tier journeymen. We have the players, but clearly not a motivator. It was so predictable Mancini would fail to sign anyone in the transfer window, just when we needed someone fresh and with an eye for goal. Oh well, bring on Southampton: we ought to be able to beat them.

welcome back guv, i always new that little ray of sunshine would peep out from behind the clouds again...!

Liverpool did okay in the final third today because we allowed them to. Some of our defending was shocking!

But when was the last time Gerard scored one of those? It must have been a while, no? We gave him enough time to have a Sunday roast before hitting that ball. Sturridge got the ball between three defenders with non of them making an attempt to block the shot.

Vinnie is needed back ASAP.

Have you got something in that pipe . danny boys goal was very well taken , not between three defenders at all.

At least give the scouse credit for scoring two very good goals. why they don't play like that week in week out is a mystery.

I only saw a reply at the match but it looked like he smashed the ball and there were three City players in front of him?

Got to agree with that, they played a good game today. Stuges goal was really well taken, Gerrard's would have been in the stands nine times out of ten, that was obviously no 10. Upon saying that Sergio's was similar.
