That performance looked liked something had gone on before hand, you add Tevez missing into that and we could be onto something. There is playing bad and then there Is that shower of shit today.

I worry about the same thing mate but I always do though. I dont have the nerves for this game sometimes. I would say though that something was wrong in the team tonight. Who knows what though? Perhaps something to do with tevez's absence?

It looked like that tonight, but perhaps it's something else.

Both Defence and Attack was poor . I never heard any good about Barry and he showed of that today.

It just looked like they weren't playing for him. Looks like he is gone as far as he is going to go. He will not be in charge next season.

I don't think he's the sort of bloke players 'play for' it's not his forte. He organises & plans & relies on the players respcting what he is trying to do & pulling together behind it, because they know he is a winner.
For whatever reason, this season, the plans have often been pear shaped.
If he has to rely on the players fighting for him, trying to keep him in a job, they won't. He has to be above that level.

I recon Barry is one of the best at his job, but only when he has 100% sharpness. When he gets tired, his legs go & he becomes shite. I recon he's played too often in this period.

They put us under pressure and our seasoned players cracked under it. Hart gifted them a goal, while Barry gifted them two.
Besides that, it was a poor showing. We had our captain missing, a new CB pairing that looked shaky, a returning Yaya Toure, Tevez absent...
We scored a goal & could've won the game with a crap performance were it not for the dreadful howlers mentioned above.
I don't know why it always has to be something as severe as the manager losing the dressing room after a loss/shit game. We're in a similar slump we had last year around a similar time, only our start to the season wasn't as good & theirs was exceptional point-wise.
I'm not even going to bother with the match thread.

Fighting for the title against the rags and 3 points from 3 games...Omission of Tevez from our squad, not just today...Mario being sold in the middle of an important part of the season..Todays perfomance? Us blues are gracious in defeat but today was bad in everyway .Somethings going on behind the scenes for me.

Because, as City fans we have seen how players look when something is afoot & they look exactly like they did today.
It could be we are getting the wrong impression of course, but it's a fucking accurate impression the players gave today.

Did anyone read Ladyman's piece on Vinnie in today's Daily Fail. Closing comments:
There is a warmth in Kompany's tone.Maybe there is less warmth when asked about his manager, whose methods have been questioned at times. To the Belgian it is not important."I don't think we are the kind of players who need patting on the back. He,Mancini is someone who knows his stuff very well,is very methodical.
I have never gone to training hoping that I get a pat on the back from the manager. He has brought players that suit his style,I think"
Is that worrying?

That performance away from home is not atypical. We have looked shite, clueless and disinterested many times in the last thirteen months or so. You can't really have been surprised.

That wasn't a dressing room thing, it was an individual thing.
However, if it was they can all fuck off now. Every single one of them. 3200 people (plus millions through their TV) paid good money to see City today and they were let down by certain players. If the inference is that they let it happen, they can get to fuck.
They owe us.

Mancini's methods mean that the team have one thing in common, they don't 'like' the manager particularly. However, there is method in the madness as this bonds them as a team. His Inter team was in open revolt against him but they still won the league. Not my idea of getting the best out of players, but it works (at least to an extent that most managers aren't capable of).

Two posts, both negative, one ludicrous.

Mancini has never seemed to be popular with the players, (but I'm sure he would be content providing his side was successful.)
Speculation about summer clearouts dont help. Several key players seem disinterested today.
Whether the effects of midweek internationals or something deeper will be interesting to find out!
What our opposing teams will notice is a lack of spirit which will give them more belief they can get a result against us.
We must rediscover our togetherness and team spirit from last season, even if thats just amongst the players.
