He may be arrogant and a very big personality, but watching this shows he is one of the team, and a man who will put his arm around a players shoulder and guide him.

He has nowhere else to go, he'll probably end up at at the Swamp for the next 20 years.

Best manager in football and someone I don't hate as most do.

I like him a lot - the eye gouging was ugly and out of order, but most of the other stuff he's done, ie the laundry basket, and avoiding having his dog quarantined, has been downright funny (I might be having a senior moment and forgetting some other serious stuff so don't lynch me if I am)

We still have a manager. But if that was to change I would not want Jose. He is the Ballotelli of the managerial world. He would court too much un-necessary press attention, would provide too much controversy and would be gone in 3 years as he never stays in the same place for too long. Besides Martin Samuel writes a spot on piece in the Mail today as to why it will never happen. In short our ex Barcelona guys dont trust him. They considered and disregarded him when at Barca. If Mancini goes - which is not certain - then we need someone for the long term. Klopp or Moyes.

Due warning: If we ended up with Moyes I would throw a tantrum so big that there would be tsunami warnings in both the Pacific and Indian oceans, it would make the strop I threw when we got Hughes look like a fart in the bath...

Hey all, new to the forum but not to City. Mourinho is no doubt a great manager both tactically and with his influence off the pitch via mind games. However he is also control freak and highly outspoken. I feel this clashes with the direction our board would like to take this club in. Mourinho would demand total control of operations and would probably show little regard for FFP. He's notorious for massive clearouts of players when joining a club and doesn't have enough patience to wait for youth players to develop. We simply can't afford to buy an entirely new squad. Obviously we do need to make some new signings but within the restrictions of FFP. I can't see Mancini staying unless he wins the FA Cup, although I do love the man. However, Mourinho, whom I am also quite fond of, is not the replacement we need.

I don't know. I don't like his arrogance and the circus that surrounds him. But I feel he would get the best out of this bunch of players.
He has huge champions league experience and premier league experience. What matters? we have someone we like or someone who wins?

Had a feeling it was not going to be a popular name. Little point in justifying my point when we still have Bobby in charge - but if he goes I will come back and defend my point. Having said that at Barca they kept selecting ex players as managers so expect Lee Bradbury to take over.

Welcome, I dont recall a clear out from inter or madrid. And he is no more controlling than Mancini, or any pess likely to play youth products.

Mancini and Jose are very very similar, its just that jose achieves results that Mancini cant

I like Maureen as I find him entertaining. I want him to remain that way and hope he never becomes manager at City as he'll only leave after 2 seasons max. I think he wqill end up back at Chelsea or more likely the Swamp, as he's possibly the only one with an ego big enough to taken over from the whiskey tramp.

that's my bet. Benitez goes at season's end, RM have had a shit year, and Mourinho has said he's managing in England next.
His vanity will want him to get taken back from the only place (so far) he's been sacked from (?), and he'll jump before he's pushed by Real.
