I thought today was possibly his best performance in a City shirt.

Played very well, so did his brother. Saying that, they all did.

It begs the question, why didn't he play last weekend?

My best guess is, Mancini didn't want to drop Garcia because he has shown signs of improvement recently but wanted to bring Yaya back into the side. Garcia performed admirably at centre back v QPR so I guess Mancini felt he merited his place there, in hindsight a mistake.

Really impressed by Kolo today.

I wonder if it was the fact he generally had fuck all to do?

Varney should have scored when Kolo lost him.

He earns far too much to justify his squad place.Gone in the summer hopefully.

He could very well do a good job as back-up to Vince but as you say, on far too much money.

I've always liked Kolo though and he comes across as a reet decent guy. He has also got leadership qualities that help us on the pitch.

Kolo is a good player, and he can pass a ball.
Why did it take so much time to get Lescott on the bench? At last!

Tbf I've been scared at any game he started this season, cause I don't trust his pace and lack of quick reaction on crowded box situations.
But I am very glad that my gut feelings have been, invariably, proven wrong by his very good and composed performance. Today he has probably been easied by the difference in quality between the two side, but Kolo performances have been very solid and reliable anytime he has been called up to fly the colours.
agree on possibly the best season out the last three

I was slumming it in 109 today and so for the whole of the second half I got to watch him closely. I was impressed with him, in all honesty.

I am no football genius, in fact I've never earned a penny thereby, mate... :-)

I like him. If we can reduce his pay a bit, I'd keep hold of him until young lads start breaking through. Like with Gareth Barry, his experience will be important. He has been there and done it at club level.

I like Kolo, always have. But, you can guarantee he'll lose his man at least once in every game and that is usually from a cross where he misreads the flight of the ball. I think it happened twice yesterday and we should have been punished at least once.

He'll be off to Turkey or somewhere like that in the Summer.

The fact is he was a good player for us up until he had his ban, since then he has never had a decent run in the side and so never appeared match fit, yesterday he has come off the AFCON and he looks like he has benefitted as he is looking a lot fitter.

I honestly believe he could still do a job alongside Kompany whilst Nastasic is gaining experience, I would like to see him given a chance ahead of Lescott as the competition for the shirt may help improve Lescotts form.

The fact his best game has occurred against a very poor midtable championship side says it all. Never confident when I see him in the starting line up.

Kolo is a top pro and a very decent experienced player. It made me laugh to see that he gets a positive thread after a game against Leeds who posed virtually no threat to us at all.It made me smile again to see that some will get digs in at Lescott on the thread ( and it wasn't Carl)

I would take Lescott before Kolo any time.

I dont dislike Lescott and mine was not a dig, I just feel that after an excellent season in 2011-2012 his form has dipped and I would like Kolo to be given a few games to create competition for the shirt and make Lescott work hard, I agree Leeds flattered City's performance but then Kolo can only play what is put in front of him and I thought he managed well with what was presented to him on the day.

I think £200 thousand-a-week keeps Yaya plenty happy....
