Got to be the Kolarov brothers - never seen such an impressive centre half pairing

This is possibly THE best poll we've ever had!

I have a feeling this poll isn't going to be conclusive, at least in the traditional sense....

Michael Ball and Corluka. With Elano right back and Sun Jihai left back. Solid as a rock.

we are blessed with at least 6 players who are good enough and 3 or 4 who are amongst the best

I was going to throw in the Double D of Dunney and Distin but that'd just be silly.

Not sure on that one but definately in the running.
Anyone want me to add Boyata?

Ted and Carl.
if They can bite opponent forwarders' arses as relentlessly as They do on their own, it's a whole season of clean sheets almost guaranteed. It might even been given the case of reconsider the wages of either keepers.
Only concern may be on whether their feet are assorted, as I suspect they might lose focus arguing who's better suited on left centre.

If the thread gets serious evolutions, I'd suggest to add a temptative Kompany-Garcia pairing

Komps and Lesco for the next two seasons, with Nasty playing an increasing role. (Nasty has played about 10 games too many this season.)

Vinnie and Julian for me. Mancini don't see it that way though.
Been encouraged by what ive seen of Nastasic already. Good to have options here as pointed out by AS

I went for Kompany and Nasti but only just as I would also be happy with Lescott instead of Nasti.

Vinnie and Lescott.
Lescott's form was better than Kompany's last season, but for some reason he gets a raw deal from many.
Nastasic is good cover and is a useful squad player. I'd love him to become the world class player so many on here seem to think he'll become but he hasn't done anything to demonstrate that he could achieve that thus far. If you compare Richards and Nastasic at the same age, Richards was in a different league. Richards was having stand-out games for us back then, and Nastasic hasn't done that yet. Furthermore, people outside of City were regularly talking about Richards as his ability was noticed by a wide range of people. Very few outside of City (and the Balkans) will know anything about Nastasic because his performances have not been at a level good enough to warrant that sort of attention. I know he's only 19 and has time on his side, but a future 'world class' player would have shown some glimpses already.
