There's a nice defence from Ian Herbert about the Emptihad in today's Bollox. Tbf he's normally pretty good with us

Good that he's getting shit for his crappy reporting & lack of research re our attendances. Keep it up blues.

Bad that he's trying to defend it by mentioning that we occasionally don't sell the away fans' tickets & 'only' got 28,000 for a League cup game. Wheras everyone else with bigger stadia sell out League Cup games presumably ? His printing that we 'rarely sell out' gives everyone else the impression that we can't fill our ground. He knows that.

If we wait til we sell out League Cup games before expanding btw, we'll be waiting a long time, as would Utd, but of course we know, as does he; that won't be the criteria.

Just an admittance of being wrong would have given him a bit of credibility. Wanker.

If we could just those type of safetybelts they use on rollercoasters to lock people in their seats until the whistle blows. Then everything will be just dandy.

Couldnt agree more Ted. Herbert never misses any opportunity to have a sly dig at City, and as a journo is one of the first to stick the boot in whenever he can. Boo hoo Mr Herbert - grow a pair, start reporting fairly on City or expect to get pelters for some of your blatant shit stirring.

Daniel Taylor of The Guardian and Martin Samuel of the Mail are the fairest reporters where City are concerned; Ian Ladyman has his moments, but most of rest are just muck rakers looking for any negative angle they can find.

Case in point, all season Dzeko has continually been reported as unhappy being a supersub and pressed repeatedly on his future. Hernandez at United, who has played far less often, never has to field such questions on his potential unhappiness at having his arse welded to the bench, nor is this something ever taken up by the press with Ferguson or in general. Odd that.

If Welbeck played at City as often as he does at United, the media would be all over us for not giving this young English player enough gametime - see Johnson, Adam. At United, again its never raised or even considered. Odd that.

I would add Henry Winter of the Telegraph and Sam Wallace of the Independent to that list aswell
