I let it go for a while because I presumed it was the first in a series of ads for different clubs. But it's been months now and just that one shown daily.

So sky's chief analyst gets to promote his team every day on the channel he's supposed to be impartial on?

He's the face of Sky's football presentation and he just happens to be a United fan. It really really isn't a big deal.

I had this with a rag I know the other week. His view was , at the end of the day, united, and in some ways Liverpool are the biggest clubs in England , so they are flagship clubs for sky all over the world. More people get sky cos of united, buy papers etc, so everyone has to deal with it..... Got me thinking, maybe it is an apology to united from sky for the celebrations/commentary on the final day of last season. Get everyone back on side.

SKY is one big advertisement for United, end of story.

Leo I dont think Liverpool can keep carrying their biggest club tag too much longer - notice how their vaunted foreign sales are now far less than ours.

I like Neville but sky and the whole media/country licks the rags arse. It is the way it is unfortunately. The only way to stop this is to knock them off their pedestal repeatedly for a number of years.

I find it difficult to see why people will cancel sky. Whether or not it is baised it shows a huge number of football games, many city games, champions league and games which don't even involve the rags. I don't give a shit about the commentary or punditry, I just wanna watch the matches.

I like being able to watch football games every week, and not just city but Barcelona, Madrid and other games. It also offers other sports. To cancel it because it may be biased is shooting yourself in the foot imo. Who cares about the punditry or commentary?

I'm not bothered about the punditry or commentary as such. I was stating that it is a rip off, they charge some bars and pubs 800 to 1200 to carry their licence.
