If his no show on Saturday, which may have cost us the match, was just about contract negotiations then Yaya shouldn't play for us again. You can see why Kolo would have been upset.

If the story about him demanding a new contract are true then he can fuck off. However, his agent does have a history of chatting shit

You have to be quite an actor to fake a proper migraine. The Sun prints shit. The agent has a track record of talking bollocks. Adding conspiracy theories to the mix really isn't helpful.

To say the least.

This.
We've had Aguero to Real, and Kompany to Barca in the past 2 weeks - Ill bet we have a "Hart wants out" story before the seasons over too.

It may turn out to be bollox but if him and Carlos leave we will be in trouble next year. I do hope the board have contingency plans just in case...
and that doesnt mean signing Nathan Dyer and Jordan Henderson on the transfer deadline day.

This kind of behaviour is becoming more commonplace & characters like this are reason Hazard & RVP didn't sign in the summer.
In the case of Yaya, we called his bluff in the 1st place & this geezer has hated us ever since for not giving him & bung. He was doing this at Barca for several years & Txiki has had problems with him before, so it will be upto Yaya in the end whether he follows the agent.
If we maintain our policy of refusing to bend over for wankers like this & Chelsea/Utd etc are willing to give them bungs, then we will lose some players to clubs like that in the future. That's life.

My guess is he wasn't happy at being substituted.

We could always hold them to their contracts, at least as a last resort.

Yaya said he wants to finish his career at city a few months ago.

Yeah but unfortunately it doesnt work like that. A simple statement from the club might go a long way to putting our mind at rest but I doubt they'd want to get involved in rubbishing every rumour that arises.
Looks like we're going to have to sit back and see what plans they have.

He said the same thing at the end of last season & about a week later the agent said he 'needed a new challenge'.
In the end, Yaya chose to come to City rather than follow this bloke, who told everyone Yaya wouldn't be signing for City. We wouldn't pay the agent but Yaya still signed.
Now, he needs to do the same re a new contract, as we won't be bunging this character now either. It's not Marwood policy, it's club policy & Txiki will do it the same way.

My first thought when reading this was, 'they're starting early, derby isn't for 2½ weeks'.

The agent is nothing other than a ball bag, all about timing imo.
Yaya not at the club because he is off on international duty, so he won't get pulled into the office to explain the "outburst", just his agent being a pushy little shit.
The club will have a quiet word with Yaya when he gets back and tell him to reign in the little twat. The club won't say anything publicly because there is nothing to say.
Oh and the papers are quiet for stories for a couple of days so will print the smallest of bollox fed to them, like I say, timing, nothing more.

Just a thought, but I wonder whether he might be angling for a new contract for Kolo rather than himself. Probably bollocks.

Wonderful idea.
Let's send one of our best players golfing for six months while his value decreases and his contract runs down.

My instinctive reaction was that he can go and that has not changed. No man is bigger than the club. For some reason I trust the board on what they are doing and if not caving into Yaya and hos agent is club policy then thats fine by me.
