Neil Swarbrick has been appointed referee for Manchester City v Newcastle United this Saturday. He has previously only refereed for us in the League Cup (W1, L1).

Me too ... hate international breaks!
Kompany should be back, if he stays fit while playing for Belgium ... not sure what Aguero's status is, but we need them both back.

I'd prefer Lescott, as he's threatening to leave at the end of the season and that would be a calamity.

So if we win this, and Utd win theirs v Sunderland, they will be 15 points ahead. After the derby there will be 6 games left. If we lose the derby we will be 18 points behind with 6 games to play and worse goal difference. Anything less than a win v Newcastle and they will be mathematical champions by winning the derby. Not good.

Thats a horrible thought Scatman, i don't even want to contemplate it.We have a good track record against the barcodes i very much fancy a comfy home win.

Yeah, I've not updated Wigan. Cheered me up - if we beat Newcastle they can't win the league against us. Good.

I can't go to this one & yet I can't seem to summon even the slightest tinge of disappointment.

It's just another of a long line of games where we could "lose the title" ...
Or did we do that against Everton?

Southampton away, or maybe even the first Derby.

It was certainly unlikely after losing the first derby, following a home draw v Everton, knowing how our away form & midwinter form can sometimes be.

The sooner this game comes around the better that international break was an awful drawn out affair especially when City have had a poor result beforehand.
Will be great to have our captain back in the side again and it appears Sergio is not far off a return to action either.
