Just seen this on B/R and having attended the game then later watched Mancini in the PC, I have to say it seems farcical.
I think perhaps we should try and squeeze a decent deal out of him, but I reckon he could perform for someone else as he did for Arsenal.

Is this a case of Mancini should keep his mouth shut and count to 10 before speaking as his English still isn't great (yes, better than my Italian, but still)?

Nasri disagrees with Mancini that he's only played at 50% for the most part this season. Oh, and Arsene Wenger is the best coach he's played for (in a different part of his interview). This is from the Guardian,so don't know his exact words in the scummer.

SAMIR NASRI last night launched an astonishing attack on Roberto Mancini — which could spell the end of his Manchester City career.

The unsettled star taunted Mancini after the City chief admitted he was so frustrated with the French ace he wanted to punch him.

Nasri said: “If he wants to hit me then he should hit me.”

He then stuck the knife in by declaring that his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is “the greatest coach I ever worked with”.

Nasri’s fury was sparked after he starred in Saturday’s 4-0 demolition of Newcastle. He has rarely played so well since his £24million move.

And Mancini said: “I’d like to give him a punch. A player like him should play like this every game.”

Nasri has scored just once in 21 league appearances this season.

Very true J@StA. What is interesting is how Kronke forced Nasri out for the money. He's been asset stripping the club for a few years now and it will be good to see what happens if they don't make the CL.

Saying that, I'm 100% confident that they'll make the CL one way or the other. Remember how they got there last season?

I've read it from a few different outlets now and every one of them have a different take on the interview. Luckily there are a few more reputable outlets that actually say it as it is instead of spinning it for their own means.

The problem with quotes is you don't see the question leading into it or how it was said. From those, Mancini could have been laughing when he said about punching Nasri, who could have been laughing when responding. Or they could have both been shouting.

I recall a quote from Mario about Mancini wanting to punch him and he said something like 'he can try, I do kick boxing'. It didn't seem sinister, although it didn't seem normal language about your boss.

A few of them need to consider how their quotes could be used, especially when given to foreign press. It only seems to be a few who's media presence isn't great, but there's no reason it can't be improved to keep things in house

Mancini is just mad that he lost the league. I kinda like that he's a spoiled child about it.

He's showed in brief patches that he can be excellent but on many occassions he becomes just another player. If he can just up his game and produce more often then he'd be a real asset to the team and would be played every game. That will only come with a change of mentality and a little more balls. Will he ever be the player he promises to be?
