I know, I know ... way too early for the 'Next' thread ... but they just announced the ref, so might as well keep a separate thread for this. Can always re-ignite the debate here after the derby.

Time to bump this thread back up ...

So Silva is surely out? Or do we have any chance of playing him on Sunday?

Enjoy the derby win and every discussion to do with it ffs.

You seem to enjoy starting threads more than city winning!

There's loads of time for this

Anybody's got time to discuss Chelsea game?
Yes, the one that is two days away ...

Is Silva in or out?

If out, who comes in for him?

Hart or Panti? (OK, forget this one, we already have a separate thread for this)

If it goes right down to the wire ... which 5 to take penalties for us?

C'mon guys ... nobody's excited? Two days to Wembley ... and Barry is right, this is the Final!

Hi AG7,

I almost forget we're supporting a football team at times. Then, once, sometimes twice weekly, you remind me.

Keep up the good work,
LM.

Where are you posting from? Wembley is three days away.

Barry is more or less right, I hope we play as if it is the final. And Silva may well be fit for the final, we'll just have to wait and see, but the noises out of the club suggest all is not lost.

Attempt III to drive the discussion back to football:

Here's my lineup wish:

Panti
Zaba - Komps - Nasti - Clichy
Barry - Yaya
Milner - Tevez - Nasri
Aguero

Score: Chelsea 1 - 2 City

Should Chelsea make it 2-2 and take it to extra time and further on to penalties, then here are my penalty takes in order:

Aguero - Tevez - Yaya - Milner - Zaba

Anybody biting? Or still interested in calculating the no. of hours left etcetera etcetera ...

You could always start a new thread if this one isn't working out as planned???

Definitely not the RAGs since they're on a dreadful run of form lately.

How is everybody getting to Wembley?

I'm going on the Eccles branch supporters coach who are always superbly organised.

Setting off a 7am so we should be there in plenty of time for a couple of beers and hopefully plenty of time for celebration afterwards.

Can't see all 5 of these making it through 120 minutes.

Dzeko shouldn't take a penalty if he comes on. Don't know about Nastasic, whether he's too young for the occasion, but may be worth replacing one of those 5 with him. Tevez has had a pretty bad penalty record over the past 2-3 years (only converted about 60% of chances for club & country, I believe, but I could be wrong...), so I'd also like him to be either one of the early takers, or dropped from the rosta altogether.
I'd put Hart in as number 6 if it comes to sudden death.

Penalties?

We've hammered this lot twice and also run all over them in a 0-0 at their ground where we failed to score.
They have dodgy form, players should be knackered and we are well rested at the top of our game.

Bugger me we should be looking at a 2-0 or 3-0 win.

Apologies for going off at a tangent but a cruel twist of circumstance means that I have a spare ticket for the semi-final if anyone's interested?
I don't want to put it on that Viagogo thing because that only makes it more expensive for the buyer so I'm offering it at face value to anyone who might be placed to pick it up from north manchester at some point today. It's a £50 seat in Block 139 - anyone interested?

Give it a thread of its own, mate. It'll go relatively unnoticed otherwise and you could be doing another blue a big favour.
