The biggest City-hater

Forget Lou Macari, Brian Robson, Pat Crerand and all the twats in the media. This has come up before, but listening to Talkshite yesterday (Monday) we once again had the pearls of wisdom from Niall Quinn.

Carrick has been brilliant this season, no City player has played well, we are basically crap and he fully expected United to win. Mancini heading for the exit (for daring to only finish second). I cant remember the most as there was about 5 minutes of it.

Ray Houghton on the other hand, immediately after, gave a more logical assessment - he thought United had stuttered a few one nils and that City were in good form. He expected City to win.

So Niall - take that last night and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

I pointed this out about Quinn a while back and got rubbished for it. He is a hater full stop.

To be fair, Carrick has been brilliant - perhaps their most important player and one who should be nominated alongside Zabs/Bale/Suarez for PFA Player of the Year.

The rest is rubbish, though; United haven't played well for a while now. They'll be economical and win the league by a fair margin, but it wasn't a shock that we were better than them, given current form.

His commentary for the Aguerooooooooooo moment last season was fantastic, mind. Perhaps he didn't want to appear biased towards City in any way?

I seem to remember someone on here saying they spoke to him and he's lost all love for city. Can't remember who though.

I searched for that thread but couldn't find it.

Esky - Carrick certainly hasn't been any better than Silva Milner, Yaya or Barry for that matter. But he plays for 'them'. And when up against a top team he is nowhere to be seen, like last night, because he is too slow.

There is a reason why they call him the invisible man you know?

Rag season ticket holders I know hate him. "Give him all day and he'll pick out a pass to anyone on the pitch. Unfortunately you haven't got all day in the Premiership"

Neville was asked the question 'city won the game because they were the better team. Is that right?'
He fluffed all around the question and at the end of his answer, began praising the rags.
Why is no one challenging these biased bastards. All he had to do was say city were the better team and all would be fine, because it was the truth.
Poor broadcasting that is unfair to teams other than the rags.

It's me apparently isn't it?

I'm not having a bad word said about Sir Niall. Loved him and when I met him in the boozer, he was an absolute gent.. . . . . Both times.. . . . . Even though I was pissed and dribbled nonsense at him.

It was me mate.

He basically said he felt the club had sold its soul. And then a few other soundbites from the back of the rag tops. Then he said he was Sunderland through and through.

Nice guy but was always a sheep.

I have heard him say that last bit as well. Well not the sheep bit, the second to last bit.

If people are going let what a few dickheads think spoil today then its them that need a look at themselves.

I wouldn't say the biggest but he certainly struggles to say a good word for us.I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was maybe not trying to sound like a fan as a co commentator but I heard that interview yesterday and it seemed clear he has a problem with us. Sad really as I have always liked him but he is way way down in my estimations now.

RH's point is actually a good one.

Today should be thoroughly enjoyable for Blues everywhere. These media types' inability to deal with the facts is just the icing on the cake as far as I am concerned. Not that I have to listen to them of course cos I'm thousands of miles away.

No, his point is bollocks and irrelevant as nobody has mentioned anything about today being spoiled.

If I dont like a thread I tend to ignore it. Constantly criticising threads is a bit pointless on a forum.

For the record it makes the day even more enjoyable!! Nothing spoilt at all.

The after-match analysis last night was ridiculous. Instead of showing the great play from us they chose to show how good certain United players were and how they should've defended better.

Just smiled and walked away.

Quinn showed his colours when he supported Roy Keane after he had that rant at McCarthy prior toThe World Cup.
