They still have 10K of their 31K allocation unsold for Saturday!

I know they normally have very little away support but you'd thought they could muster a few more?

The population is only 80,000 and most of them support the rugby or Liverpool, so no real surprise.

Does that mean it would be better for Chelsea/City to have Wigan in the final, as we may get a better allocation of tickets?

Anything would be better than fookin Millwall nasty bastards (even now).

But unfortunately either way round I seriously doubt they will give us or Chelsea more, probably get put out through armed forces at a knocked down rate or something like that.

Fair enough point about rugby etc & I guess gone are the days of a "town outing" just for a jolly, I guess people just can't afford it as a luxury.

I think really credit should go to Wigan for selling 21,000 tickets. I read an article from a Wigan fan in the first issue of late tackle (which you can see free on their website. I would post the link but I'm using the epic mancityfans app) about how they are a town with effectively six teams in it.

Your last line is exactly what I was thinking when I read the opening post. I ended up at the final on my own 2 years ago as the loyalty points didn't get down to my sons' level. It's a nice thought but no doubt they'd be given to corporate and other hangers on.

A lot of the lads I know from Wigan are rugby lads and don't really follow the football team.
Those few that do support either the rags or the scousers.

If Wigan do make the final it will be travesty if they get the same allocation as Chelsea or City as the opponent, an absolute disgrace in fact given their piss poor following compared to their opponents.

As approx 50k of the tickets is split betweek to the two competing teams, Wigan should get 17k and no more, which is still well above their average gate, and Chelsea/City should get 33k.

Sadly its the FA so it wont happen.
