Statistically a fair ref, though I must point out he did allow the Home Derby last season to go on to 90:00(+6:51) because United were behind, also he is so ridiculously card happy he never ever allows a game to flow, he epitomises anti-football;

I wouldn't think there would be a need for many cards between us and Wigan.

I hope so, though in the 23 games he has reffed us he has given over 3 cards per game (including opposition) and has only reffed one game with no cards which I personally find ridiculous, plus his record reffing us is getting worse and worse.

1.44 - Interestingly Marriner averaged 1.44 cards for City per game before the taken over in 2008 (13 in 9)
1.71 - Since the takeover he averages 1.71 per game (24 in 14),
2.10 - Worse still is that in the last 10 games he has reffed us he has dished out 2.1 cards per game to City (21 in 10)
2.20 - Even worse still 2.2 cards per game in the last 12 months (11 in 5)

Make of that what you will...

I personally can see evidence of a trend whereby he punishes City more and more the more successful we become.

We also play a more agressive ball-winning style under mancini which will no doubt create fouls.
