With a bit of a silly idea.
Today's Guardian has an article about ways to save the EU: one of which, with author's tongue firmly in cheek, is to have a European football team to take on the other continents. This got me thinking - what is currently the strongest European-born team and how many Blues would get in?

Is the manager going to be Mancini?
I think we should be told.

Manager will be the best one in Europe, so, yes, Mancini ;)

Kolarov would be in it. He keeps calm and does the Harlem Shake. Teams need someone with such composure.

No. Can't think of any European blues who would be the best in their position.
Yaya would get in the African team and Aguero should make the bench of the south-American one, but I suspect that's it.

Tony Blair. So most of the football will be played down the centre/centre-right with no left- or right-wingers (or extremists, as they will now be called).

I'm sure we could mock up a European passport if they get asked

Well it is probably the first thread in god knows how long where (so far) there is no bitching or calling each other names etc etc ;-)
Back on topic, i'd just go with the Spanish National Squad, the only City players who could make
the squad would be Vinnie and POSSIBLY Silva.

POSSIBLY Silva? Even though he is in the Spanish National Squad you mentioned in the first place anyway?
Surely more than just a possibility then? In fact, pretty fuckin certain

Was thinking originally using Spain as base and then tweek with the likes of Ronaldo and others, Silva hasn't been a regular starter for Spain for best part of a year hence the possibly?
