Rank : Player : Club : Clean sheets

1 : Joe Hart : Manchester City : 16
2 : Petr Čech : Chelsea : 12
2 : Pepe Reina : Liverpool : 12
2 : Asmir Begović : Stoke City : 12
5 : Simon Mignolet : Sunderland : 11
5 : Jussi Jääskeläinen : West Ham : 11
5 : David de Gea : Manchester United : 11
8 : Tim Howard : Everton : 8
8 : Wojciech Szczęsny : Arsenal : 8

And yes, still De Gea made it to the PFA team of the year ...

Or.......you could put it down to our excellent defence that we have had all season that Hart hasnt had to make that many saves compared to others.
How many minutes has he had without even touching a ball??????????

Well done to Hart.
Still wondering about the logic behind De Gea's PFA nomination.

Just double checked and 11 is correct, they have kept 13 clean sheets in the league, Lindergaard was between the sticks for 2 of them.

Agreed, much credit should go to Lescott and co for this record.

I don't think that De Gea deserves that nomination but Hart hasn't been the best goalie this season. Let's be honest, our back 4 is the reason why we have keep so many clean sheet. And I don't hate Hart or something, but I don't think he has been as good as he can be.

Guzan deserved it more than De Gea, imo. He has made tonnes of saves.

We will dedicate a nice thread for him when Mancini sells him this summer.....its only right.

I thought Mancini was being sacked in the Summer?

If we play like we did today for the next 4 games then I hope he does get sacked.

Didn't Pepe Reina win it three times?

Yes

Cech could also win it a third time this season if he doesn't concede in the last 4 games and Joe fails to keep a clean sheet in his last 3 league games.

So Hart hasn't win it yet then?

Actually think this is an award for the entire defence. The best keepers are the ones with the least to do, partially due to good defenders, partly due to their marshalling of the defence and partly due to them doing the simple stuff that means they don't have saves to make eg catching a cross. Hart definitely fails on the last one.

They would be joint first

Doesn't it go to whoever has played the most games? So if Panti is selected for the last 3 games, and Cech keeps 4 clean sheets, he'll win it (assuming he's made an equal number of league appearances to Hart at the moment)...

Yeah because he has had a better season than Joe, who's standards have dropped. Have you seen some of the goals he has let in this season??

I don't for a minute think Joe should have been in his place but there surely were 4-5 others who were possibly better than De Gea.
