The better side won. It hurts that I suppourt as side that was not as hungry as the oppostion but fair play to them.

If we had to lose to anyone, I'm glad it was them

Agreed.

And we'll done to all the blues (at least 50%) who stayed to watch Wigan lift the trophy and applauded them for doing so - a touch of class.

Aye, had a good craic with the Wiganers, they were all good decent folk (that I met at least!).

Fair play to them. Well done.

Didn't stay to watch them lift the trophy though - ridiculous kick off time, only been in about an hour. maybe two. delirium.

Best team won. I also hope they stay up.

We should be stepping our game up for finals but you can't take anything away from Wigan today. They fully deserved it so fuck it! We can't get a trophy every year! Not even those rag twats manage that.

Derby day at Wembley to start the new season would've been good though :( FUCK!!!

Their fans were a gang of petulant twats from the off today.

And the fact they are bank rolled by that paedo Whelan just makes me want them to go down even more.

Wigan deserved it, we certainly didn't.

Well done

If there's a team we were going to lose a final to, I'm probably happiest to lose to Wigan. This was probably going to be their only FA cup final in history.
I like their managers attitude and I like the way they play football. On the day they deserved it.
After our poor performances since we beat United and Chelsea, its not that suprising; although I hoped we might find our mojo again.
No tempo to our game. Mancini seems to have lost his passion.

Our fans behaved very well, staying to applaud them getting the trophy.

We will be back, stronger in the future!

All the ones I high sixed were fine, very reminiscent of our fans at the Stoke final when it really was a day out to remember.

Always despised Wigan since they beat us in 2002 and invaded the pitch to chant at us - we were trapped in the stadium. So it's very hard for me to say this but, well done Wigan. Your team deserved to win, ours most certainly deserved to lose.

Lots of rags gloating on FB - this is very unpleasant but we have suffered worse. More angry with our players for compacently staggering to this result.

On the pitch, there is no question that the right team won.

I got home last night and realised I wasn't that bothered. I'm annoyed at outlet team for the performance, but I'm now supporting a club who'll expect to win trophies most seasons. The of defeat just reminds us of what it used to be like (although it use to be the 3rd round rather than the final).

But for their fans, they'll be feeling now how we felt two years ago. And I wouldn't begrudge anyone that feeling.

The only heartbreaking thing was our performance. The players and coaches knew what to expect after the recent league game and just didn't deal with it.

They outplayed us for a second time in a few weeks and were deserved winners.

Yeah they deserved it more than we did they played with everything they had.

Bang on. Winning the league was the most wonderful experience and its going to be very hard to match.

Good for them. We will be back, this is a blip.

I'll second this. As much as it's difficult to say; Congratulations Wigan and Martinez. Good to see one of the little clubs win a major trophy

Yeah well done to wigan. Absolutely played out their skins. Won every header. Won every loose ball. Didn't give us 2 seconds to stop and think about the game. Constant pressure even on the edge of our own area.

Everything city were last season.

And as city fans we know how it feels to win the fa cup after years of crap and i really can't begrudge other fans that feeling. Its what football is all about.
