Apologies if I've got this wrong but are you saying you'd rather Isco than Silva?

If so I despair, I really do.

I agree.
We need to take some of the pressure off Silva and not force him to play every fucking game to get the best out of him. However, underneath the body that has more or less suffered 24 months of non-stop football there is still GENUINELY world class player. One of the few we have.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'd throw Hart there as well. But since Tevez left there's one less.

Still not convinced on Hart, too many lapses last season that should have been trained out of his game by now.

How do you get that? Silva needs both cover and competition to get back to his best imho.

Making more sense?

Silva plus Isco would have been a great story.

Indeed it would, but the little shit shat on us.

If Pellegrini is as good as his reputation though, Nasri could start to be worth his wages & also Navas is in theory competition for Silva, & Yaya plus Fernandinho could be employed to attack more with a Barry or Rodwell covering.

It's not impossible Lopez & Pozo will start to appear in the squad too.

I would like to see one more creative player brought in, but we are much stronger in attacking mid than we were last season.

Like I said apologies if I've got it wrong, so sorry.

We don't need Isco though, we especially don't need to continue to be seen as a soft touch in the transfer market, bending over and taking a good shafting off agents and selling clubs.

I'm confident Silva will look a better player in a side that finally has some pace upfront. As a midfielder it's so much easier to release quick players. I have high hopes for Big Dave again this season.

I honestly believe that Silva will flourish under Pellegrini as we will be playing his style of football, Yaya is accustomed to it too.
