Whats happened to Kompany?

Postby simplytolmie » Sun May 19, 2013 7:16 pm

Not seen near the squad since the Final. Tuesday's excuse was tired today was a slight injury. He's not tweeted about the blues since after the final.

He's tweeted about this Belgian team he's involved with but nothing since Roberto has left?

Any ideas?

I think Vinnie's gutted the way it has gone down, and probably a bit worn down from a long season ... having played injured for long periods, or at least not fully fit.

It probably wasn't the plan to give him the rest of the season, but with the way everything went down, it was probably best. I hope he's taken the rest well, physically and emotionally, and he can come back for pre-season rested up.

They'll probably want to trot him out at the friendly in NY as well, so could be precautionary with nothing to play for in the league.

I really hope there isnt any unrest surrounding Vinnie. I would be gutted to see him leave and our side would definitely suffer.

According to Kidd's post game interview, both Nasti and Vinnie are injured. The former has hardly practiced since Wembley and the latter hasn't at all. If he is to be believed, that is.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Maybe he's more concerned with his Belgium team than with the blues

There's a story doing the rounds that Kompany is suspended by the club for leading a 19 man rebellion against Mancini after the Cup Final, in which he attacked a team mate. Apparently Yaya was so upset he's been seeking re-assurances from Soriano.

Just read that on twitter, in some ways I hope it's true shows he's not happy with the wembley performance and isn't happy about how it's going. Captains can change things and people follow them this breads togetherness look at Terry and chelsea he's got more managers sacked for the good of the club and the players pull together and win things!

I think it is best to take the answer that he is injured.

He is our captain and has always said the correct things about the club, its future and his future with our club.

There has been speculation about him, but I'm sure that's all it is.

He has said himself he is part of something big here at city and he wants to be part of it.

'A 19 man rebellion'. When was this supposed to have happened, before or after the Cup Final?

Just read again, 'after the Cup Final'. Very strange, 19 man rebellion.

What's this ? Vincent Kompany is not injured and has not played the last two games because he is subject to an internal discipline procedure, after having a fight with a fellow player after the FA Cup Final last week. He was not happy with the commitment with some of the players and let his feelings known in the wembley dressing room.He also led a 19 man revolt against Mancini after the game, the only player to stick up for the now deposed manager was Yaya Toure.I understand that Toure was that upset he sought to speak to Serrano and has been persuaded to stay at the club after proposed transfer targets were revealed during the meeting.

So is Nastasic the player he assaulted cos he hasn't played either.

Only someone obsessed with CIty would create these rumours.

What's wierd for me is that we improved greatly for the United and Chelsea only to go backwards in the Cup Final. Today showed that it wasn't just the manager, some of those players need to take criticism for our season.

At least the media have their story for tomorrow. Seeing as they know so much, how did they miss this?

I can't imagine that Kolorov would allow anyone to have a go at Nasti
