Ibrahimovic?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Ibrahimovic?

Postby Risby » Sun May 26, 2013 3:44 pm

According to the Metro, Zlatan is not ruling out a move to City! I know it's bullshit, but I hope it stays that way.

Personally, I'm not a fan. I respect the fact he has a big reputation, but I don't believe he's a necessity for us.

I'd much rather spend money on young, talented players than him.

Anyone think he would be a good signing?

for what he would cost us, plus wages he would likely demand, no. I can't help but remember how Lescott and (I think it was) Terry bounced off him when he ran through them in a match between Sweden and England a while back though. One thing we miss as I mentioned in a thread a while back is a bully and they don't come any better (or more skilful) than him.

After the way he shrugged off Jolean who nearly landed in the third row of the crowd during the the Euros he's definitely got the power to make it in the prem. He's a complicated and tempremental character but he would be awesome IMHO. Imagine Dzeko with skill...

He's 31. If we could get him for a couple of seasons at a reasonable price then why not.
Not every signing has to be for the future, some can be for the here and now as RVP unfortunately proved this season.

Like people are saying, if he doesnt demand a ridiculous fee and wages then yes.

the last 6 times he moved to a knew club they won the league title that first season. that'd be nice.
granted, none of those leagues have been as good as the premier league.

If we were to get Zlatan it'd be the single greatest signing in the club's history.

Also, time for a bullshit summer transfer speculation thread?

Leave him at PSG and let them pick up the FFP price.

yes please,no if it means loads of zlatan lovers join the forum tho!

He doesn't fit the vision and it won't happen but as someone said sometimes you need a signing for now. Has he not won the league every year bar one for the last ten years?

As Zlatan's biggest fan I would love to see him play next to Aguero and Tevez.

As a City fan I hope he never comes here. He won't be liked by most of the fans and it will end sour, no doubt.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

It'll give the Bosnians a new hero if Dzeko goes.

A nice balance between yourself and Gillie, he's just too much of a cunt, and I like cunts.
