Today is the 28th anniversary of the heysel disaster in which 39 were killed in the most shaming incident in the history of British football. Spare a thought.

Only because UEFA and the Belgian authorities wouldn't accept that it was at least 70% their fault.

Horrific scenes made worse by letting the game continue. Seeing footballer's celebrating after what happened was just wrong.

A rotting old stadium and inept authorities put together aren't as guilty as pissed-up "fans" charging across terraces to get to the other lot like they're at war.

Had the authorities not been so inept, the fans would not have been in adjoining closures.

Had the authorities not been so inept, the game would not have been held in a rotting old stadium.
