Its interesting because he has said elsewhere that he was a cunt too and shut off after Hughes was sacked, so at least he's admitted he had a part to play, but the story begs the question to me of how the fuck Mancini lasted as long as he did.

Bang on to be fair. I admire him as a man and as a footballer. Class act. Used to hate him when he played against us, cos he was so angry and willful and with no little skill; it was to the detriment of my team. But when he joined our cause - ridiculous commitment; a warrior; a true professional, and a winner. That's not to mention poignant post match interviews.

I heard the rumours at the time about the Brazilians, Elano in particular, and his attitude in training. The 'I play for Brazil' thing, and not trying hard or going full steam cos he was so fucking above that and everyone else. Don't get me wrong I loved Ralph, but that game against Hamburg which we all vaunt him for, showed just what a player he actually could be, and a lot of the time he was just in second gear, pissing it up the wall. I'm inclined to believe the Robinho stuff too.

Hopefully we are now a more professional ruthless outfit that will weedle that shite out more efficiently.

We let him go a year too early. One of the few players who you now will always give 100%.

Remember against Arsenal when we beat them 4-2, Bellamy sprinted back 60 yards to tackle Clichy(I think) and then ran another 40 yards or so with the ball before playing a great through ball to SWP.

That passage of play summed him up as a City player.

Don't get me wrong I agree the Brazilians were an all round joke when it comes to assessing their overall game, especially without the ball. But take Robinho's goals out of our season and we were either down or just scrapped another season in the Premier League.

I still prefer the likes of Walsh, Goater and Vassel to Robinho but his goals really mattered when he was here. However we've all learnt now, or chosen to ignore, it's better to buy Argentinian than Brazilian. Failing that buy from any other south american nation over Brazilians as they're too soft for the Premier League and Europe.

Fair play to Craig, he didnt have to bow to the big money signing like the manager and the people who bought him had to. Robinho hated it at City but signing him served one purpose on one day - 1st Sept 2008 - the day football changed forever.
