Will be watching this tomorrow night.

Are there any City players involved at all?

Not to the best of my knowledge. Spain look outstandingly strong again. Keep an eye out for the next-gen PL players. Mata, De Gea and Azpilicueta all played in the last one.

Muniain, Canales, Alcántara, Isco and Koke this time (as well as Da Gayer again). Dear me.

For England, we should look to Jordan Henderson to have a good tournament having been much improved at Liverpool last season.

Those Spanish players you list...and then name Jordan Henderson for us. Sums it up really doesn't it?

It does, but he should still have a good showing. I still think he's got it in him to become a good player. I see something in the kid, a determination.

No squad can touch that Spanish one for straight-up talent. Incidentally, England are the only side to qualify for four successive tournos and are the second seed.

We can win the group at a push and then we'd have half a chance of making the final.

it does. no investment in youth. just some 'big' names from the premier league. damn that league is the shit.

Definately a relevent thread and cures the angst with no football to come. We've got a favourable draw and should make the semi's, at least. Can anbody see above Spain though?

I know very little about the German players but it'll be interesting to see how they do. An England-Germany semi would be top and is fairly likely to happen.

I honestly don't have a clue but I bet there's next group of Özils, Götzes and Mullers coming through. They're my dark horse to this tournament.

Isn't Ibrahim on the Norway team?

England's problem is we don't take it seriously enough and don't pick any of the youngsters that also play in the first team.

Thats why we never know how to handle playing in tournaments as well IMO

Spain and Germany are going to rule senior tournaments for at least next decade. There are some proper impressive guys in both teams.

Cheers for that.

Seems Norway has one former City player, Omar Elabdellaoui, and then one current, Ibrahim.

What's our norwegian link? Do we have one?

I'm also surprised to see that Canales is still alive and kicking. Doesn't seem to have played that much in the last few years though. For those of you who might have watched him recently, is he still living on the hype from four-five years ago?

We have (or at least used to have.... this was done during PEarce era if my memory serves me) some sort of first rejection agreement with some Norwegian club if my memory serves me. Probably Rosenborg but can't remember which one anymore.

Not Strømsgodset? We had two kids on loan there during the spring: Abdisalam Ibrahim and Razak Nuhu.
