A Blues statement said: “It is with great sadness that we announce that the Carrington Club Cat Wimblydon passed away this afternoon RIPWimbly.”

Were doomed. Jesus signed and Wimbledon dies.
Typical city!

I heard Doug accidentally reversed his car over it (but don't say anything).

Our two feline friends send their condolences to his City family, content in the knowledge that he is now running through sky-blue pastures and getting to know the likes of Joe, Malcolm, and wee Bobby Johnstone.
I hope the club remember him in the annual roll-call around Christmas of those who departed in the previous year. (Don't scoff, such eccentricities are still the City way - I hope.)

Still with Javi Garcia we've still got the club dog.

You could have picked Tevez or Lescott but went for the most handsome player we've got? That doesn't make sense.

I was going by ability not appearance. I'll always love Nige "shar-pei" De Jong

From MEN article -- He was initially named 'Puss' by the not-so-imaginative souls in the kit room. But a short time later he appeared in reception just as the Blues fitness coach Juan Carlos Osario mentioned that City were due to play 'Wimblydon'. After the laughter at Osario's peculiar pronunciation had died down, the name was handed to the cat.
