There's a strong rumour coming through that Carlos has gone to Juve for £9 million and a less strong one that we've just signed or agreed to sign a liverpool player . . suarez perhaps???
No, I'm not IKT and have no claims to such but thought I'd put it out for comment - hopefully from someone better connected than I am.

Any thoughts?


PS. I kinda doubt the suarez thing for a number of reasons but am equally intrigued at the prospect.

Edit; Now said to be £7.5m + £2.5m bonus so £10m in total. Should wash my ears out.

Both fill me with dismay. Aguero would miss Tevez, the team would miss Tevez, and I hope never to see that cheating diving petulant Uruguayan twat in a City shirt. Hope both reports are rubbish.

Tevez will be gone if they can find an Italian side who'll actually pay up rather than talk big and then want him on loan.

Suarez I doubt. I just can't see the owner being comfortable with the publicity he brings and he's said he wants to get away from the British media, so we're not an ideal fit.

I think the first report is probably true (sorry) as now reported in sky italia with Bobby Manc praising Carlos to the high heavens - the 'we've bought a player from liverpool' thing wasn't specific to suarez (more me putting a name against it with question marks) and that's definitely a rumour in the traditional likely to be bollox sense.

And he's banned for the first 6 matches which counts when you are going for the league. I doubt we would sign him.

There are no liverpool players I would want. Perhaps Gerrard as a super sub.

Doesn't help, but you could live with that with cup and CL games as well, plus future seasons. I just don't see him staying in England unless he's really burnt his bridges in Liverpool and no one in Europe coughs up

SSN reporting that its a done deal. Desperately need another striker now. I imagine he wouldn't be going if we didn't have a replacement lined up.

At the time it was mentioned that you had to have done a decent part of it. You could then apply to get it changed. Presume it gets left on file and he'd have to do it if he wanted to come back to England (unlikely)

Im guessing we have a replacement or two lined up. Bad business sense to sell which no replacement earmarked. And I would hope the replacement is as near to a done deal as possible as we dont want to be looking for other options should it fall through. I just wonder if the Cavani is really dead?

I would not be surprised at all about Tevez leaving but i do feel he will be a major loss.

The one thing that would surprise me is if he was allowed go without having a suitable replacement signed first.We already lost Mario and letting Tevez leave without adding some real quality seems a bit wreckless on Citys behalf.

I very much doubt City would be looking at a player with a reputation like Suarez has.No doubting he is a good player but it would be bad for the clubs image.

Selling your best player for £10m. Literally mental.
