Bloody sickens me that the French seem to be an exception to the rule. Cavani and Falcao lost to them lot. Why are they not worried about ffp? Uefa wouldnt dare kick them out of CL

Their blatant disregard will kill it and we won't get the blame (apart from by Bayern). The likes of Bayern, Real, rags etc can't afford to have PSG do that and potentially win the CL, or Monaco to start doing it next year. So either UEFA does something and it all ends up in court, or the traditionally big clubs will go ballistic and want them out. We're now playing ball financial and are getting much closer to living within our means, so we're on the 'good' side of whatever happens.

I've watched a few matches on ESPN, they're stopping broadcasting from August 1st on Freeview though, so wont be seeing any this season.

Platini has no option but to challenge PSG. If he doesn't it's all over.

He has no need to challenge yet, as it's not yet time for the sanctions to be applied.

But when that time comes, we will be looking like saints, whether we reach the threshold or not, & PSG will be taking the wankers on, with us & various others waiting for the outcome & ready to move in a way that suits us.

If he fails, the Sheikh can do as he pleases.

I hope we stick to the original plan of bringing through our own players & striving to become self sufficient, but also blow everyone out of the water when a Messi becomes available. Pay the big money, for the really big players, like Barca do.

I agree Ted and what makes me think FFP will not work is Monaco no Euro football this season and no gaurantee they will have it next season.Add in their ground is miniscule in real terms so they can't generate funds from gate reciepts i think both them and PSG have some sort of get out clause re:FFP.

Its going to be interesting watching it unfold. For starters i bet cavani and falcao move to bigger clubs for far less than the fees just paid out, and within a year or two. wouldnt shock me if they rocked up at bayern or the scum. FFP is just something the hogs at the top table are hiding behind because their entrenched positions scared off fresh investment. they dont like it. its called capitalism and you'd think they'd get the irony.

mate i live over here ,i have Canal+ & bein sport channelsto 2 channels to show the matches and i don't even watch the fcuking french league !!
only now & then i'll "zap" between channels while a big match is on but won't watch all of a match

As for the owners they are going to try and turn parts of the shitholes of Paris into better places to live if i remember rightly but as its only Paris didn't pay much attention when they were talking about it on the news a while back

Strikes me as a conflict of interest as well, Plantain's son is on the board at PSG. If he does nothing I wonder how long he'll last in the job.

Well there's a potential legal challenge first I believe, then I recon the next phase, if that was to fail, is the test for so called 'fair value' sponsorship & the competence & neutrality of the panel which is to decide on it. Then imo, the quotes from Platini re owners such as Berlusconi etc asking him to change the rules because they can't afford to finance their clubs anymore, THE WAY THEY HAVE BEEN DOING, because the New owners have too much money. So it was ok for them to have an advantage when they could afford it, but now the middle east is involved, a rule change to stop the Sheikhs doing what Berlusconi has been doing, because presumably it's better to have AC Milan at the top, is required ?

I would have thought that this is the very definition of corruption ?

If I was the owner of PSG & the courts ruled against me, I would go for Platini in person.

Here is another angle on which I would be interested in the opinion of any lawyer types:

We & other clubs sit back & allow PSG & Monaco etc to hoover up players we would have bid for. Similarly, we offer limited terms to other players, some of whom turn down our offers to sign, & we allow players such as Balotelli & Tevez to leave, all of this because we are trying to comply with FFP. We crash out of the Champions Lg but PSG go much further. We miss the title. We hold back on signing sponsorship deals because we believe they could be challenged.

FFP is declared illegal.

Can we sue UEFA for probable loss of earnings due to us complying with FFP & others gaining an advantage ? Anyone know whether that is a legal possibility ?

If so, when the legal challenge to FFP is made, if we quietly inform UEFA of our intention to sue should the case go against them, but we are willing to settle out of Court should FFP be scrapped, what would UEFA do ?

The FFP is a catalog of finances over the past 3/4 years trading, so it don't mean spend while you can now. That time came and went last summer that's why chelski spent fortunes on hazard and co

The bans have been for legitimate reasons such as failure to pay wages, not for spending money you actually own.
