Shut up shop

For the summer.
As we saw between 2007-2010, signing a glut of first-teamers in one window can make the squad too unsettled. We needed to do business early - good business - and that's what we've done. The squad needed to be refreshed, not revamped, and we've done just that.
Unless a useful player moves on and needs replacing (Lescott, Pantilimon) or someone offers us a good price for someone we can live without (García, Kolarov), I'd focus wholly on getting the new boys bedded into the side now and leave the stress and bickering to our rivals.
Roll on August.

Agree, plus it is nice to have the squad working together for a good part of pre-season to get used to the new managers tactics and understand how he likes to operate.
Another plus is we can tell the likes of Juve and co to "do one" when they come sniffing around and demanding that they will only pay so much for a player and they want him on loan first etc... how about go and screw yourselves.

Exactly. Everything has a nice feel to it now just as it is. The balance, the options, the characters within the squad and, from the outside, Chavs and Stretford falling out and Arsenal doing fuck all business of note as per.

I would be happy with that.

Yup, happy with the early signings (though only the season will tell if they turn out to be Garcias or Silvas), but yeah don't see us needing anymore major signings.
Tie up Lescott, sort the positions for Garcia/Richards etc whether they are taking up that backup CB role etc. and sort out the formations, plan As and Bs and perhaps Cs ... oh, and the zonal v man marking on set pieces ... and let the games begin! Can't wait!!

Don't really know, have seen his teams use both ... but then haven't seen his teams week in week out so someone else can perhaps answer pls.?
The reason I put it out was hoping someone can enlighten us further ... anyone?

Mixture of both zonal & man to man I think, like Mancini, but not studied it.
His defensive record seems good but I thought they were diabolical at the backv Dortmund. Hopefully just a bad day.
I would like to see us swap Kolarov for a left back. Even one that can't defend but can actually attack, would be an improvement.

Has fernandiniyoyo effectively replaced garcia?
I would still like to see a left back too though, kolarov isn't the answer, no matter what the question is. (unless of course the question is "who's your weakest player").
Also, are we really keeping dzeko???
