The Count has come out and said our spending has not finished.Im happy enough with what we have done so far but i won't turn my nose up at the prospect of more signings.Any ideas who might be joining? That French defender Rami has been mentioned recently.

Pepe, isn't it?

He is clearly after a defender.

He wants an experienced defender, someone who can be relied upon in big CL games and who wont shit themselves when they are in possession of the ball.

Clearly its Pepe. He wouldn't be my choice at all, but then Pellegrini has forgotten more about football than all of us on here so we have to trust his judgement on it.

Id also keep Joleon so we have 4 decent centre-halves to utilise in the 4 competitions we are in. If we were selling, then Garcia, Kolarov, Sinclair & Boyata are those who I would be binning though that statement is clearly one for the bleeding obvious category.

Im not Pepes biggest fan but he is a decent defender.At a reasonable price he might be a good shout but the money involved for a player his age seems slightly daft.I believe Fabio Conterao has been left out of Madrids pre season and would certainly be a better option at left back than Kolarov.

I'd hate Pepe signing. Individually not very good player at all, very dirty and little bit of a sicknote as well.

He isnt going anywhere he is part of the Spafia no chance he is moving and i'm glad as he deserves more chances.

Diluting the english players is dangerous and Sinclair should stick around for another season and give it all he can to see if he can force a way into the team.

I can understand people not liking him as a signing but he is a quality player and by no means a sick note.

Really interesting comments from Pellegrini emerging on SSN this morning regarding more imminent signings. It is possibly looking like Pepe in for Kolarov and the Benfica winger Salvido ? for Sinclair . We will see soon it seems !

Plus there was another defender on the radar - not Pepe. Can't recall who it was or where I saw it, but it was very recently.

Might be Adil Rami (sp?) from Valencia who was mentioned yesterday.

From the limited action ive seen, Rami looks like a good shout. And for 7.75 that is a steal.

another centre back is a must....... another winger would be nice to.
